I had to call to get my prescription filled. However once I called it was done within 20 minutes. Why wasn’t it filled without me having to call? It was already in the system. Wouldn’t let my husband with the same name and address pick up the prescription even though he’s picked up the same one many times.
Save yourself the hassle - it’s not “easier to pick up” because it’s close to the office, not worth it.

Phone system is terrible. Painful to talk to a human. Lots of useless messages that waste time. When you do, they are very unfriendly and sound like they have zero desire to work there. It’s getting annoying. Will change locations as a result now. Too bad. Location is good.

The hours were listed as open until 6pm, but I went at 5 to pick up crucial medications and the pharmacist had just left early.

Not family friendly at all. The staff was eyeing us from the moment we entered - not sure if its because we are Asian or because we have kids. Our kids were being playful when they were putting things in our cart and we got an earful about how we should tell our kids not to play with the merchandise.

Avoid this pharmacy. People are very nice there, but their store policies are ridiculous. When low on certain medications, they'll give you all kinds of excuses such as "insurance doesn't allow it to be filled today", or "your doctor didn't authorize it for today", or "government regulation prevents us from filling it" - none of those reasons are true. I had zero issues filling this exact medication at other Walgreens stores in the past on random days (with and without insurance). If this branch is rationing medications because they're low on inventory then just say so, stop wasting our time. Very frustrating.

Just called regarding a prescription transfer and they yelled at me and then hung up on me. This Walgreens is in my work building, but I am having them sent somewhere else now. I would rather walk to another pharmacy in the wind and snow than continue to get yelled at here.

Constantly extremely slow and oblivious to long lines of waiting customers who would be served in under 30 seconds

I work right next to this Walgreens and come here extremely frequently. The staff is nice in both the pharmacy and main store. Never had an unpleasant experience.

I just went to Walgreens to get my passport photo and i must share how wonderful store associate Angie was. She helped me get my passport photo taken quickly, was thorough in her instruction on what is required for a legible passport photo and then gave me advice on where to go have a document printed and gave me directions to a fedex print center right around the corner. She really was kind and is the best kind of employee that Walgreens should aspire to have!

This store has an incredibly convenient location to where my hotel was... that's where the positives end. The entire staff were boorish, unfriendly, and more interested in talking about the weekend plans then answering any of my questions or moving out of the way when asked 2x politely (the aisles are extremely narrow in the store). when I finally found everything that I needed in order to pay, the cashier mumbled every sentence and I had asked her repeat everything she said multiple times only to have her speak even more quietly. Frankly, I was appalled by this point. Additionally, she failed to inform me that there was a bag charge, which I would've gladly paid as I'm not from the area I was not aware of local custom. When she asked if I wanted a bag I said yes, I remember because I had ask her to repeat the question she was asking three separate times. She thought I said no, but I don't understand how she couldn't have heard me because I spoke louder to hopefully drive the point across that I couldn't hear anything she was saying in her mumbled voice. People that are afraid to talk to people shouldn't be in staffing positions where they need to talk to people. I left in frustration as I wasn't going to use a bank charge or break a $20 for a $.7 bag. There are multiple other pharmacies in the downtown Chicago area. I highly suggest using any one of those others.

I was so happy I had a Walgreens 1 block away from my work so I could walk and pick up my prescriptions. I soon found out, that it was the most annoying and unreliable Walgreens ever. First I would get three automated phone calls a day to get my prescription refilled while at work and then recently I got a personal call asking to fill my prescription. I said yes, please refill. 3 days later after nothing I looked online and there wasn't one being processed when I really needed it. After then requesting it being refilled, there was a delay and then after that - nothing. It's been 12 days and no update! After 2 days I got it filled at another Walgreens but this place sucks! Maybe it's the volume of people downtown but you'd think I'd at least get a phone call.. won't be refilling here again.. this is for the pharmacy specifically.

Although conveniently located close to my work, the service is slow, and the workers are not very friendly. I have received better service at the DMV on a bad day. How do you have one cashier during the morning rush?
