Pharmacy is awful. They hung up on me at first then left me on hold for 30 minutes without answering. Is it really that serious you can't take 2 minutes to answer a call? They also closed once without warning on a holiday weekend, so I was out of medication that I need to function for 2 days. Only use this pharmacy if you're desperate and dropping something off in person and waiting there. Totally bogus.

I finally filed a formal complaint against this pharmacy after months upon months of questionable practices from this place. This pharmacy, pharmacist manager, and the pharmacy staff are truly appalling. They are unbelievably rude and essentially act like they are doing you a personal favor (unhappily and irate) by dispensing your legally prescribed medications. The only way I was able to get my medication filled this time was to file a complaint with corporate. They withhold medications claiming they need clarification from the doctor - then refuse to call the doctor. Claimed to have faxed him repeatedly, my doctor says he received not one single fax from them. He asked me to have them to call, they said “maybe, if we have time” - after telling me “it was weird” I was even inquiring about the status of my prescription….Meanwhile, my meds sat there for a week. My prescribing doctor was floored to learn they never dispensed them - and never ever reached out to him. The people who work here are bad people and I say that genuinely - because anyone who toys with the health and safety of others is a bad person. They have no business working in healthcare and definitely should not be trusted to dispense medications. They should all be fired. Fill your script anywhere but here.
UPDATE: Another week has passed and they still have not called my doctor. He has advised me to “stay away from this pharmacy” and I plan to. You should too. Corporate is aware of the shady practices and are actively investigating. I also sent a copy of that email from my doctor to them, and the board that oversees pharmacies. This place needs to be shut down. I switched to CVS and haven’t had a single issue getting my meds in a timely fashion while also being treated with dignity and respect.

I think Walgreens pharmacy is great. They text me reminders and updates for prescriptions, it’s the only company with a helpful automated phone service (for prescription refills), and the emails and texts are integrated in terms of the same information, etc.

Online hours say pharmacy is open to 9pm, then the sign inside says its open until 7:15pm except it was already closed by 7pm. Forget about getting your prescription

So far the experience with the pharmacy has been great. I needed a prescription from my Doctor in Puerto Rico. My family put it in a Walgreens back home and I was able to recive it in this Walgreens. Excellent help and service.

Don't know what ever happened to Pharmacy Tech named John I have not seen him lately but he is the most helpful, super kind tech ever the rest of the staff are not as friendly and the suppose pharmacy manager he is extremely rude. Their customer service sucks. What's the whole point of using the automated system because Everytime u go pick up the medicine it's either never ready or if it is ready it's not enough refill it's always a partial.refill and they don't even call u to at least let you know it's a partial refill. There is always some kind of annoying issue with this pharmacy and all they do it's make excuses . Then the manager has the audacity the nerve to say it seems like you are having problems with this pharmacy maybe you can fill your prescription at another pharmacy. That won't even help because there is always issues at every Walgreens in Chicago Walgreens sucks.
