“This is a bizarre review because while I love this place, I also hate it:( This place is huge! Don't come with a group of people of a stroller because the booths and aisles are narrow. This is definitely the kind of place that rents dedicated spots to dealers- some decorate and curate their spaces so beautifully! Everything is tagged ands easily accessible. Other booths are crap on top of crap on top of crap - steer clear of those unless you WANT to dig! It's such an odd pairing of booths where the dealers clearly have an eye and keep up with their space/things... and then some booths that are dirty/dusty/jam packed with "stuff". Of the booths that are locked, it's fairly easy to find a volunteer worker (they roam around a bit so don't get uncomfortable) to open the case. Everyone seems helpful too! They all seem to want to see their dealer friends selling their things! Everyone that works there is also older, so there's not really a sense of urgency. I prefer to shop curated antiques rather than dig through dirt- this place has both! Also be sure to shop the bathroom too! So many mirrors for sale!”

“Super cute shop in Ravenswood/Lincoln Square. I’ve purchased a few items including a vintage refurbished desk and their super warm washable wool blankets.I’m giving it 4 stars because they’ve started selling more “new” furniture and less vintage or refurbished furniture - which isn’t my thing.The staff have always been super helpful and knowledgeable about all of their products, so if you have questions they will definitely have answers.Make sure to check out this local shop, I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy.”

“We used Zap props for our wedding reception. Our theme was “Time Travel” and we wanted the kitchen to look like a 1950s diner. Zap props helped us out. They were easy to work with and affordable. We had to pick up our own props but when we arrived they helped us load the larger items and unload them when we got back. Overall it was seem less. I would highly recommend the for any event prop rentals.”
“If you ever need a unique gift - this is the place to go! They have such an eclectic array of cards, frames, art, books and a whole host of other fun items. What I also like is the local flavor of items and their season gifts. There are Chicago themed items that look vintage or are fun for any room in the house. Finally - the service here is excellent. Even when the store is packed (which is almost every time I go in), there is always someone to help and make great recommendations.”

“The owners are genuinely super cool and have a very keen eye I would say there's specialty is American Art Deco mixed with some French but they had very unique few pieces of Memphis which is a design Style from the '80s out of Italy very hard to find and of course they had it the owners are knowledgeable fun and creative problem-solving and we'll have no problem sending clients in there without me to look at recommendations I have discovered at this place.”

The selection and finds one can buy are always truly astonishing: Just browsing is an exciting adventure, imagining the objects’ past lives, and being amazed at the inventions and whatnot of yesteryear.
