“Cannot remember the kind woman’s name who helped me out but I went in one day very distressed and knew I needed an aura cleanse. Whoever was working pointed me in the right direction and I’ve gotten very lucky these past few days with my life and things causing me stress and anxiety and I know it’s because of her recommendations! Her wonderful energy as well! If you see this and maybe remember me, thank you so much! Loved aura spray the most.”
“Such a wonderful place with so much to explore! I could spend hours looking around in here. Their employees Anne and Bruno were so friendly and helpful. Really fun environment to be in and I found some wonderful treasures :)”
“We recently had a wonderful experience buying a Persian antique rug at Beautiful Rugs. The owner, Moe, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This is the first Persian rug we have bought and he happily put up with our naive questions! A great purchasing experience and a beautiful rug.”

“I got an AMAZING vintage modern granite table and Henry Miller chairs here that will be in my dining room forever. They were in perfect condition and so much better built and classier than all of the cheap new furniture out there. And the staff is incredibly helpful and worked with me for delivery!”
“I’ve never seen a vintage spot with as big of a selection as this place. We found a phenomenal MCM cabinet that we now use as a bar in our dining area - very fairly priced and the staff was helpful with loading it into our truck. So many great items!”
“Fantastic shop. Great selection of cards and the owners are incredibly nice and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Tim’s if you’re looking for a local card shop in the Chicagoland area”
“I happened upon this treasure of a place while walking today . It's everything an antique should be: interesting and unusual merchandise, reasonable prices. an affable owner and Sophie , his charming dog .”
“I used to live nearby & spent many hours in this store. The owners are wonderful! I bought so many collector Barbie’s & a few Gene dolls. I met the designer of the gene doll, Mel Odom at an event at the store, got his autograph. It was such fun! I plan on passing all those Barbie’s down to my 2 granddaughters (ages 16 & 18) when they get a bit older. They have picked which ones they want. I live in cali now & miss shopping at gigis dolls. It’s a great place to shop & I highly recommend it! Wish I lived closer so I could go say hello & get some more dolls! If you love dolls you have to check out their store, you’ll be in heaven!”

“Such a charming little shop! Mercantile M has such a unique mix of gifts, home goods, and beautifully curated items — it’s one of those places where you walk in “just to look” and always end up finding something special. Everything feels thoughtfully selected, from candles and cards to handmade goods and stylish home accents.

“I picked up some a couple of awesome signs with my buddy Randy from Timeworn Salvage. What a great place to get vintage things, almost anything you can dream up!! Great service also, Lisa was great!!”
“a must visit!
they have an amazing selection of records, an interesting selection of literature (i had to buy a book, cool stuff) and a cute puppy at the entrance :)
they played records while I was there, creating a fun atmosphere as I browsed through their selections. I’ll definitely be back.”
“I am over the moon happy with my new Grundig counsel. I had been admiring Harlequin Vintage through socials for a while and I reached out explaining what I was looking for. Dave responded he just so happened to have the exact piece I was looking for! The sound is amazing. I had used his white-glove delivery service and was extremely impressed! Reliving the sound of music I listened to growing up and remembering my parents dancing....priceless. Thank you, Dave!!!”
“They have stunning pieces and they prioritize accessible pricing. The owner Jon is also super knowledgeable. I love supporting people who stand by their principles and these guys are the real deal!”
“Not just a book shop, but an experience! The Abraham Lincoln Book Shop is unparalleled in its offering of material in which they specialize. Whether you are a casual shopper or serious collector, set aside a long period of time to peruse their incredible selection of Americana and visit with their knowledgable staff.”
“What a wonderful experience! I had learned of Antique Resources while perusing on line a few months ago, and knowing that I would be in Chicago for a few days, was intent to visit. I was not disappointed! Mirabel, the owner met me at the door, was warm and courteous, and gave me free rein to look through her wonderful gallery. I quickly identified an item that caught my interest, which led to a conversation with Mirabel regarding other such items in her inventory. She pulled out one more (a beautiful small pietre dure plaque, from the Grand Tour period in Florence). We chatted about their significance, and I then looked through her gallery for other treasures, spying a number of them. I ended up purchasing two items, am very happy with my purchases, and was treated so well by Mirabel, Tony and Carlos! Mirabel was amazingly patient and informative, and when I had further inquiries regarding other items not within her current inventory, she graciously offered to help me and took down my contact information. Antique Resources is a true treasure-make sure to check them out!”
“The staff members are so kind here! They helped me get a lovely new coat, were very knowledgeable about the products there, and helped me get my purse back when I left it there!”
“This place is so cool. The store itself isn't large but its PACKED with treasures. If you like antique and vintage medical stuff, or curiosities and oddities i highly recommend coming in here. They gave very fair pricing, and they also have items that are for display only. My favorite was the squirrel gun. A must see shop!”
“Rudy, the owner, super helpful guy. I called with questions about movie theater chairs and he graciously offered his time and expertise. If you want someone knowledge and honest, I highly recommend Lazy Dog Antique.”

“Truly one of the most beautiful stores I’ve ever stepped into. I wandered in by chance while walking through the neighborhood and was immediately welcomed in by a stunning collection of thoughtfully curated art. The showroom features a wide range of antique pieces, all beautifully refurbished and full of history.
Doug, the owner, kindly took the time to walk me through the space and share stories behind each piece.. It’s clear from the other reviews, and my own experience, that Doug shares his passion with everyone who walks through the door. Even without any background in Asian art, I felt completely welcomed and inspired to ask questions and learn. His warmth and enthusiasm make the whole experience unforgettable. It was such a unique and meaningful reminder of how special it is to connect with history & culture through another medium.”
“I walked into Scout on a whim looking for a bar cart. What I found was a welcoming, knowledgeable staff, with a fantastic curated collection. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Scout with easily become my go to place for interesting and eclectic finds.”
“Have worked with Ben twice on selling jewelry. He is very knowledgeable and explains the different qualities of each piece that determine their value. The store is filled with unique paintings, sculptures and furniture.”
“To the 1 star review who wondered if they weren’t greeted because of their skin color, I can share I (a visibly brown person) spent hours here and no one was greeted no matter who they were or their skin color. That doesn’t bother me at all, I like being left alone to browse, but wanted to reassure people who may have been put off. Because if you ask any questions, you will get the warmest friendliest service ever. I’m so happy I discovered this place, the furniture is incredible and mostly from estate sales so very high quality stuff. I plan to visit at least a few times a month since they turn over so much stuff.”

“I am SO glad I found this place! They have many unique items, most of them are customizable. I found a stunning chair that my heart was set on. I plan to furnish my entire apartment with things from this store! There truly is something for everyone at District!”
“Todd and David went above and beyond! Reasonable prices, great selection, and very accommodating even though I caught them after hours. Would definitely recommend as my favorite spot on antique row. Thanks guys!”
“I was looking for a place to sell my old wedding ring, so I began googling for places in Chicago. After reading SO many positive reviews, I had to see for myself if they were true - and they 100% were!! Rose Estate Jewelers, and especially Joe, are SO easy to work with: friendly, approachable, welcoming, non-intimidating, open, and knowledgeable! Not only did Joe give me a great price for my ring, he understood how much my jewelry meant to me and treated it with such care and respect. If I could go back in time, I would have purchased my original wedding ring from them!! Thank you Joe and team!”
