“Let me explain why this Hope Depot got 4 stars. I have shopped at many Home Depots and usually find them to be 3 stars, I find the shopping experience average and its a Home improvement store. But my experience at this Home Depot was better than the others, as I walked around the store I was asked a total of 5 times if I needed any assistance and when I checked out I was greated and help by a very friendly cashier. So although this Home Depot is typical in its selection, layout, pretty much everyway, this particular store excelled in customer service. Shout out to the store manager for having your team be so attentive and helpful, they are doing a great job.”
“We are very pleased with the Creative Cover for our fire table. It fits perfectly, the craftsmanship is exceptional, and the color is just as requested. The turn-around time was as described. Should we need more, this is our ‘go-to’ vendor!”

“Most of the time they do have what you need they are a bit pricey and don't get keys made they are not good with that, but otherwise they ok just take some extra money along with you just in case of any price changes.”

“The AKB team is just top-notch. In late 2020, they redesigned two bathrooms and a kitchen for me. The end results were incredible! They were fun to work with, supportive along the entire process from design, manufacturing, and installation. And when there were elements involved that they did not sell (fixtures, appliances, etc.) they helped with referrals to others in the area that they had great working relationships with.I sold the condo they helped me re-design earlier this year, and I miss it everyday! I look forward to the day we renovate our house, just to work with the AKB team again.”

“There were some issues and a long delay with a specialized pick up order I made, but the manager Carlos and his team did take care of it as quickly as they could and were very helpful thereafter. I will come back here for my future home improvement/project needs ?”
“I went to Menards to grab some mulch for our flower bed and Gary approached us as we were looking puzzled. We were trying to find the right one that would be safe for our puppy. Gary helped looked up the ones they had and informed us that the natural cedar chips would be best. He was not only super helpful but very kind and took time to educate us.”
“I ordered my products online and picked them up the next day. There were some employees working behind the counter, but they seemed to be more interested in talking to each other, than servicing me.
Another man walked up, and went behind the counter. When he saw no one was servicing me, he quickly asked if I was being serviced.
Overall, aside from the initial encounter, things were okay. Employees should really be more customer friendly.”

“Very helpful staff. Reasonable prices.A year since I wrote this review, give or take, and I generally no longer go to Home Depot and Countryside Illinois because it appears multiple staff changes have caused the service in a variety of departments to diminish. They seem to be much more helpful at the local Menards. as long as I go to Home Depot in Countryside Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM I could expect reasonable help with better than average expertise. If I go at other times when I try not to if I go at all the staff working there to be poorly trained, particularly in lumber, plumbing, electricity, gardening, but the checkout is generally quick and easy.”
“This particular Menards is the largest Menards store I've come across. It's 2 stories and there's just about everything under the sun and stars in here.
They always seem to have the 11% rebate, maybe that's just a regular promotion now.
Parking is plentiful and ample handicap spots for patrons with disabilities.
Losing 2 hours in here isn't completely out of the ordinary.”
“Well stocked. Nice customer service. The gentleman who helped me and my mom carry a heavy item to our car was very nice and helpful. The young lady lifted a heavy bag to put it in my elderly mother's cart. I thank her for her kindness.”
“The customer service at this location is the best in the city. I have been in this store multiple times this month, my last visit was 01/19/26 and two team members assisted me by walking with me and searching for what I needed. When I bought large water bottles and sidewalk salt, a team member approached me and asked if they could help place the items in my cart. Amazing and so appreciated! The team members are kind and helpful. I avoid the location at 1232 North Avenue; the worst customer service I have experienced. They need to learn from the management running the Elston location.”

“My 5 star rating goes for the delivery service. Jon, the delivery driver, was great to work with. Great at communication and overall friendly demeanor. In store, however, was a bit different. Aside from the initial female employee that helped start the delivery process of the items we were buying, the customer service felt lacking (for me at least). I wouldn’t say anyone was rude, but it wasn’t welcoming, in my opinion.”
“Big shoutout to Margarito for helping me tonight. I was not sure where to find a few items I was looking for. Margarito showed up (like an angel) and asked if he could help. He patiently walked me through the store and made sure I found everything I needed.
This location of Home Depot is now my fav store because of the excellent customer service Margarito provided me.”

“Did not have to wait an hour for them to service me. It was clean, neat, well organized, and welcoming. Every one in every aisle was very helpful!!!! I left a Home Depot because it was a bad experience and ended up at this one which really was great! The cashier Paola and Manger Clifton helped me with my new Home Depot card and checkout. I’m thankful that great customer service still exists. I will never go to Oak Lawn Home Depot again!”

She stood in front of the screen even though she was done, then turned & asked me did I need to get in there (like I was standing there for my health). All she needed to do was mind her business & move.”
