“The Main Street Abbey is a stunning venue, they have done a beautiful job renovating the old ICS church into a wedding space that will soon have a restaurant and hotel rooms, bring an wonderful attraction to small-town Columbia; but I do have to say that the communication with our Event Coordinator and Event Manager could have been better. I felt that my bridal party and I were pretty thorough in our communication but there were various details that were missed, especially during the set up for the reception to name one. I did create a main detail binder and passed that along to our Event Coordinator to use for the set up of the reception as well as my bridal party because I knew they weren't going to remember all of the details that I had told them. I was later told by my MOH that the binder couldn't be found and was never used, which could have eliminated a lot of the headache my bridesmaids had to go through with that reception set up. When you spend that kind of money for a wedding, you expect communication. Overall, it was a magical day at a beautiful venue, but the experience would've been better with communication and quicker assistance from our Event Coordinator.”
