“I dealt with two technicians. The first technician “Cruz” had noticed the windshield he had for my vehicle had some imperfections, showed me, and we agreed to not put that windshield on my car. The second technician (I apologize I don’t recall his name) wound up installing a different windshield that luckily didn’t have imperfections. Both technicians were very professional, kind, and straight forward about the service. The technician that replaced my windshield very carefully removed my Ipass that I forgot about and carefully put it in a very obvious spot for my to put it back on my windshield. I appreciated that. Nothings broken, stolen & I have no new wind noises, rattles, or water leaks at this time. I really appreciate the professionalism and straight-forward approach with communicating about the service. 10/10 would certainly go through this company again.”

“We have a 3 section window in our living room……a stationary center window pane with horizontal sliding windows on the left and rights sides. The stationary center pane broke a seal…. when that happens, the window section starts to fog up. It looks like finger smudges that progressively gets wore.

We contacted several window and window repair businesses in the area. One major well known company came out and told us we couldn’t replace just that stationary, center window pane and that we’d have to replace the entire three section window frame and all. Now, in all fairness, we learned sometimes they’re constructed such that the three section window is one “molded” piece and can’t replace individual panes. One representative from one of the major companies in the area came in, trying to impress us with books that he and his company had written about windows. But as far as examining our window, he never got closer than 20 feet. He looked over toward the window in the living room from our dining room for about two seconds and said the entire frame has to be replaced and that the center piece cannot be individually replaced. We did our due diligence and did find some companies that said they could replace the stationary, center window pane. Two of these companies told us they could replace it for a fair price. However, doing follow up calls with them was like talking to a wall… They would say they were going to hear from their window supplier within a day or two and let us know what the final cost would be and set up a date to repair it. We left them several messages to ask them about the status… They never responded.

Then we heard from some good friends of the family about Moore Glass Repair in Joliet. They initially came out and really took their time examining the frame and assured us the center pane only could be replaced. Moore Glass Window Repair completed the job yesterday and it’s beautiful! Dave and AJ were the two installers that came out. They were very friendly and professional… My wife and I could tell right away that they knew exactly what they were doing. It’s almost like you could envision they had experience such that they could be blindfolded and know exactly how to remove and replace the window frame. We live in a 55+ community that has a golf course and they told us ahead of time they had tons of experience in our subdivision given that some homes have golf balls that crash through their window during the year.

So we highly recommend if you need any type of Window Repair to talk with multiple sources and get multiple bids before making a decision. “I have a 2025 Kia K5 GT with matte gray paint and it was side-swiped in the parking lot. I was extremely apprehensive about taking it anywhere to be repaired because matte paint is reportedly very difficult to work with and color match. I called a handful of auto body shops and most would not touch it because of the matte paint. CARSTAR was recommended by my insurance company and they had excellent reviews online..When I called them, they were very professional and said they could do the work, so I scheduled an appointment for the estimate. The estimator was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. CARSTAR said they could do the repair work, so I gave them the approval and scheduled a day to drop off my car. I was still nervous about the repair. I was worried the matte paint would not match, and I was also worried they would wash my car with the wrong products when they were done. They had my vehicle 29 days, which was around the original timeline. When I picked it up on Friday (12/12/25), however, it was absolutely beautiful! “I have to say, Belle Tire knows how to make a customer for life. 2 separate encounters with them and both times went out of their way...above and beyond. Took my car in today to get new tires and replace a faulty TPS sensor. We were commenting about my check engine light being on and how no one can seem to figure out what was wrong...although suspected thw air filter that Jiffy Lube put in (yes! I know ... big mistake!) was the culprit. They said when the alignment was done, they would check it out. 15 minutes later, car is done, CEL is off and the airfilter put in CORRECTLY! It took a tire place to fix something that an oil change place(who should know how) didnt do right. And they didnt charge me. Life lesson...never go to Jiffy Lube. DO go to Belle Tire. They actually care about you!”
