A family friend recommended Theresa with high praises and assured me she would be able to fix it. Sure enough she had it good as new within a few hours. “So happy that I found this jewelry repair shop! I was looking for somewhere to fix the halo of my diamond ring that I bent when I caught it in the door. Jane was very friendly and helpful and I was able to get my ring back in just about 1 week. It looks as good as the day I bought it! She also kindly cleaned my necklace while we were looking around the shop. They also have some really beautiful jewelry for sale. Highly recommend - nice to have someone local that does a great job on repairs!”

I've gotten completely custom work from them cast out of palladium. I've also chosen a beautiful sapphire and paired it with a band that had smaller diamonds in it to make something one of a kind.

“An absolute gem ? this store is, the jeweler was so hospitable, friendly and informative. My mother brought me here for us to get matching mother and daughter anklets, after our first visit we have easily fallen in love with the permanent jewelry here as the beginning of a new shopping habit that we will be diving into.I would highly recommend booking an appointment to meet with her and explore all of the lovely jewelry and special made items she has for sale. The customer service is superb and her recommendations on stone placements were utterly stupendous. I will definitely be coming back here to get new pieces for my mother and I, as well as for special gifts and occasions for loved ones !!”

Dave and this establishment are pillars of Joliet’s community. Without his store front on Jefferson Street? I swear to God, I would think the world is ending. The quality of his jewelry knows no end! I have seen rare volcanic diamonds that could only be obtained by crossing the world over. Dave Nelson is one of those people that you rarely, if ever, come across in a lifetime. If you have jewelry that you need him to validate? He is always the first one to be generous enough to do it, even if there’s nothing to validate in an endless pile. No one else does this, trust me, I have tried. When my mother passed from breast cancer? I had so much questionable jewelry and there was no one or where to go that would check it all, except Dave. He was there for me, professionally, and always has been. Dave is exceptionally generous. His son is also one of my very best friends. If I could cover all of the times that Dave was there for me as child? I would. How many times he put dinner on the table for me while I had none? How many times he stuck up for me to bullies? “We came in today and had no idea when they closed. We were super indecisive about what we wanted, and we made 2 picture frames. The cashier was very helpful and asked us if we needed any help multiple times, showed us all of our different options for wooden charms, and even helped us at the very end decide how to position them.
Now we had no idea, but we ended up staying until 15 minutes after they had closed. Not once did she mention that or rush us. She even asked us if we wanted them gift wrapped and showed us the ribbon options we had. Even after I realized that we had overstayed and apologized, she made no deal of it and continued to show me ribbon options.
It is hard to find customer service like this anymore. I truly hope Sara Boo Creek understands how lucky they are to have an employee like this.
