“Charles will repair books at a reasonable price. If you have torn dust jackets, cracked spines, loose pages, he has a solution. He puts on plastic coverings, page hinges, and will reconstruct a spine or cover. He has found images online and color-printed them on cardboard to mimic an original paperback book cover that was missing! He even researched the original font for the spine of an old 1920s literary magazine I asked him to restore. An expert craftsman with a vanishing skill. I travel from Chicago to DeKalb to get all my books repaired at Classic Books. You can trust him with your antique and delicate books.”

“This is a great church for both extremes, dress up or don't. Normally a laid back and welcoming atmosphere. The parochial vicar is a good vicar. Very correct in manner and speech. A bit too politically inclined. And tends to be fire and brimstone regarding any political ideals that differ from his own. Perhaps not the best way to either keep or obtain parishioners.”
