“Great place to get all kinds of mechanics tools and power tools from dewalt and other manufacturers. Waltco actually carries alot more than your typical hardware store like ace.”

“I enjoy working with Dan and his team for Special Event rentals. I rent tents, tables and chairs. The team are professional and efficient. I have a couple of outdoor events where they provide my tents. I know I don't have to worry about them, I can give them the schedule, the location and know everything will be set and ready for our staff and volunteers.”

“Bo's is the best, they carry all the things for my old house, that other stores don't carry. My dad and I searched every store for a part for our tub , but only bo's had exactly what we needed. Thank you.”

“Found what we went there for. There wasn't a line checked out, and we were on our way. The checkers were friendly. The store was clean and organized. They have a lot of Christmas lights, battery-powered, and plug-in type. While I was there, I noticed spools of Christmas light cord that you could get an exact length of cord if needed. Ace is a great place to shop.”

“Alton Winsupply offers very professional service and stocks MANY things you will not find in the box box stores. Another thing that you should not overlook is DELIVERY. Order something from a big box store and go pick it up. Order it from Winsupply and get it delivered - at no extra cost! Their prices are competitive too! So, don't overlook this business when purchasing plumbing fixtures, pipe, fittings, etc. And, when you purchase from Alton Winsupply, you are supporting a local business.”

“Love this Big Box hardware store. It may be a major chain, but the customer service is on par with a small town hardware store. Oh, wait it is a small town hardware store, that just happens to be a major chain. Moving to the Alton area from the big city of STL, the first thing I noticed on entering this Home Depot was the cleanliness. The HD close to my home was always kinda grungy and unkept. This one is kept fairly clean and well organized. The next thing that surprised me was the customer service. The associates here, actually approach you and ask if you need assistance. They don't avoid eye contact when you meet them in an aisle. The ones who have assisted me thus far have been knowledgeable in their given area. A new feature that I've learned to take advantage of at this location, is ordering items on line that are available at this location and having them shipped to the customer service counter for pick-up. Damn, this makes life so much easier. In the city, I was not a fan of HD, but this one is winning me over. When: Multiple visits within the last 6 months. Why: Bought a new house”

“Since moving to the Alton area, this Lowes has been my go to for Big Box hardware stores. I also shop a small local family owned hardware store, but sometimes the BBH has the better selection and prices on certain items. Some of my go to areas are; lighting, cleaning supplies, gardening tools and of course the nursery. It is also, my go to for my furnace filters. I have shopped many places for my filters and have even looked on-line and Lowe's has the best price. The customer service has never disappointed me. While shopping, I am always able to find an associate to assist me when needed. They offer self check-out, but I always use those that are staffed by a human and the associate is always courteous. Also, it is easier to get my senior discount. Another big plus, they give veterans a discount. I like that, I think our service men and women deserve it.”
