Hours: Based on the reviews, Empyre Laundry is a business where the staff is friendly. The washers and dryers work well when they work, but out of order signs are not put on the broken ones, and a customer is not found out until trying to put the money in. One owner refused to reimburse a customer for an issue with a machine. The atmosphere is kind and just like at home, but there was a smell when first walking in. The washers worked well, but the options were cheaper at other places. The dryers only do 5 minutes at a time and do not dry well, with only one dryer working decently. There were 2 available chairs, but they were very tall. There was 1 small table, not big enough for folding clothes. A customer had a jar of quarters stolen from their cart while waiting in the car. The man who came in was not any help when asked about cameras. It is not the first choice for doing laundry. The Empyre Restaurant next door offers Soul Food Sunday with delicious food, especially the Sunday meals and fabulous hamburgers. The food is good, fast, with friendly service, and the price is within reason.
