The vets worked amazing with me and they do so well with my dogs.There was an incident with neighbor dogs and mine.. my dogs were pitbulls so short story they were defending their property, we had to put them down.. they helped me so much through this. I think everyone in there shed a little tears with me and felt the pain. They let me set in their with my dogs for a longer time period! I had a huge bill from all this mess and they were kind enough to understand hard times and let me pay payments on it.I have used this vet for 6ish years now.. and this is where I will continue to take my pups.They do such a wonderful job and act like they care about your loved ones as much as you do!Highly recommend.

Lickin' My Chicken & Pullin' My Pork BBQ
1707 Avenue of Mid-America, EffinghamA nondescript, yellow, metal building holds one of the more unique BBQ joints I’ve seen to today. The food is super tasty and the menu is heavily weighted toward BBQ sandwiches. Apparently burgers are a popular thing here as well.
The building has almost no windows, and the restaurant has none. Entry is through a medium length hallway into a windowless room with a beautifully painted and sealed concrete floor. Courtesy of the enclosed space and neon lights, one almost gets the feeling the place could bust out as a roller rank if it were just a wee bit larger. But the space is clean, friendly, and well suited to families and groups of nearly any size.
I travel & eat out a lot, but I have a bit of a difficult time giving five stars in my reviews. Aside from either food or service that doesn’t cut it, a rank and dingy restroom is one of my pet peeves. Perhaps it is just my assumptive bias due to being in a metal warehouse building, but I kept getting surprised by this place. To get to the restrooms from the eating area, it is out the door, down the hall, through a door into another long hallway, and around the corner. Walking into the restroom, however, I was greeted by one of the more spacious and spotlessly, clean restrooms, I have seen in recent memory. I don’t normally write about restrooms, but this place really outdid my expectation. Cleanliness is top-notch, along with their food.
