This facility is horrible. I came back to drop a sample after obtaining a take home test kit, logged in at the kiosk, was given client number #102 and sat there for over an hour and eventually left with my now thawed stool sample. During my 1:10 minute unproductive stay in the Lobby on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, I watched numerous clients come & go which was quite entertaining as I observed the epitome' of horrible service as there was no receptionist or attendant at the front counter. You must log in through a kiosk so Quest Diagnostics can save on paying someone to manage the front counter. The Gal working in back came out periodically for clients who scheduled appointments who was rude and lacked any empathy with any of the clients. Later the following week, I called the generic number 847-857-0359 to speak with Branch Supervisor Kathy LaBrose to advise her of the Saturday escapade at her Elgin Clinic. I expressed my concerns to a receptive "Debbie" in Customer service who assured me a callback from Kathy LaBrose which never happened. It is experiences like this that really makes one appreciate good service in this day and age. Elgin Quest is an example of just how bad a customer service experience can really be. Simply sit & watch the client frustration in the lobby as people come in for testing. I wish I could have filmed the clientele on Saturday and sent it to the CEO of Quest. I am headed in again today to drop my frozen stool sample and I am interested in whether this will be the same shit-show I experienced 2 Saturday's ago. Time will tell. Quest fails to recognize that good customer service costs less than bad customer service......

If there is a choice to give them a zero i would. They are disrespectful, ignorant, and just overall rude. I tried to reach the manager, good luck with that!

I would give them zero stars if I could. Employees couldn’t have been more disrespectful. I chose this facility for convenience but will be going elsewhere. Wouldn’t even let me get my question out before closing the door in my face. Facility was empty in waiting room and parking lot but they had no time for me.

There are mixed reviews for this location so I was very skeptical about coming here. However, they took me in even without an appointment and were very kind and friendly. Thank you!

Horrible. I got to my appointment about 40 minutes earlier than usual. No one at the front desk to explain that I needed to use the bathroom. I was here for drug screening test. I had consumed so much water to ensure I was ready to use the bathroom. The entire time the place was not busy. This is one of those places where proactiveness is not important. Not one person acknowledged me sitting there for so long. If you are reading this. Pic another location. I haVe been at other locations with this company and this experience for me was a first. I was called 10 minutes before my appointment realizing all the staff that was there was doing pretty much nothing.

The 3 ladies working the desk to check patients in for their labs are very incompetent with their people skills. I've been here twice in the last 2 years and have had the same rude welcome as the 1st time. Management should give a class on how to treat incoming patients. Next time I'll be going to a different location. Great work ladies! Happy holidays!

People at the center were very kind. Making the appointment was not so nice. My 91 yr old Mother had trouble navigating the auto phone and there is no person to talk to. When we got there a tablet met us and couldn't find the appointment. And ,again, Noone to help. It is very frustrating

Was a walk in . Checked in at 3 pm . Their appointments were done by 3.15 . But still was told they won’t take me. And they locked themselves at 3.20 pm . It’s ridiculous

I have done a lot of drug tests for employment in my lifetime. I will never go here again. The employee was rude to me during the whole experience. I saw her being rude to other patients too. As if I was a child in the school's nurses office! I am at least her age. And after I had to endure her passive aggression and bossy attitude my test results came back DILLUTED. This was the worse experience I have ever had in a clinic or this type of Lab. I am 100% sure there are at least 50 other patients that know exactly who she is and have experienced the same attitude with her. I informed my employer that uses this location to never send anyone there again. Terrible and dissapointing. I am a professional grown woman and was treated like a child! She should be running daycare at a school. She should not be in that type of work. WARNING****

Great experience. Easy to sign in, and appointments were running smoothly. They had three phlebotomists working at this location the weekday I was there. My tech was great!I drove a little farther to this one after seeing some negative reviews about other locations, for me it was worth the little extra drive. Will get more labs done at this location in the future.

Friendly staff. Fast service. And one of the lab technician (her name was Nikkath) went above and beyond for me. I really appreciate her. She is very nice and polite. In fact all the technicians who work there were extremely friendly and helpful. Thanks.

Refused walk-in service in an empty facility. I registered on the kiosk, was the first person in line to be seen according to the digital waiting screen. I say for 15 minutes in the empty facility to be told they won't see me because they were too busy.

Open until 11am, I show up at 10am to do a pre employment drug screen and am told they only do drug screens until 10:30am and that they are sorry they can't help me today.

My 9-month-old baby needed to get blood drawn, and I was not at all looking forward to the experience, especially since none of the places I looked at had higher than a 3-star rating. I drove a little farther to come here, and I am so glad I did. The facility was very clean and well-maintained, the wait time was reasonable, and the professionals we worked with were top-notch. Yes my baby was miserable but he has honestly screamed more from getting a favorite toy taken away. Thank you Quest Elgin for making what could have been a truly awful experience not so bad after all!
