Absolutely gorgeous knits and more. Found a beautiful, unique baby blanket for a gift. Owned by a lovely Irish family. Worth a trip to Evanston!

Anne is a Goddess. Fine selection of beautiful hand loomed designer woolens. Very friendly and comfortable location, and your visit will result in great conversation.

I’ve purchased two wonderful cardigans from here to get me through the winter. Almost makes me look forward to the cold weather.

I wish I would have read the reviews regarding returns. I, too had a similar experience. I was not told there were "no returns" and the notice of such is placed on a counter top that is cluttered with products. Their receipts have no mention of "exchange only". The staff was seemingly kind - but I was forced to shop for an alternate gift and wound up paying more for the exchange. I did receive a "discounted" price on the item but found a very similar scarf on-line for $29 and I paid $65 at the shop. Unfortunately I don't believe shopping local should come with archaic business practices and exorbitant mark-ups.

I went into this cute boutique looking for a gift for my mother for Christmas, and I was not disappointed! They had a great selection of products and the person running the shop was very helpful. I ended up purchasing a cape for my mother and I think she's going to love it. Great prices, great service!

Lovely shop! I have been back for flatcaps, shawls and of course, the beautiful sweaters. Everything is hand made and from Ireland and the owner really is such a wonderful and hospitable woman. Support your local shops! The quality is always well worth it.

Anne is the sweetest most caring store owner. These old reviews don't do it justice. If any of them had called Anne at the number on her door, her personal number, (847)710-1026, they would know that she'd drive to the store in a heart beat to sell them a sweater! especially in the summer! Anne is far past retiring age but still commits to this store full time. Although some times hours are spotty, she is 100% open 11-4 on Tuesdays and Fridays. In addition to that, you can always exchange clothes for store credit. Stop by and support Local Business!

I passed by this cute little sweater shop looking for a gift. I went inside excited about supporting a local business. The owner seemed super sweet and the product really high quality. I bought it and asked if it could be exchanged, and that's when my experience started going downhill. When I gave the gift, it didn't fit, so I came back to return it. I was informed that they didn't do returns of any kind. You guys, this was a BRAND new piece of clothing, still had tags everything. What was worse is that the store was consistently closed when it was supposed to be open, so I spent two or three times just trying to gain access to the store. I ended up exchanging the gift for something else, but the lack of ability to return items makes it a terrible place to buy gifts. Cute shop, but the inflexible return policy and spotty hours makes me a little annoyed.

If you love well made sweaters and other knit garments then this is the place for you! Anne is delightful and all of the clothing pieces she sells are lovely. There's truly something in the shop for everyone. I've had a hand knit sweater that I love from her shop for 6 or 7 years and it's held up really well. She was even kind enough to fix a hole in it for me.

Great place for all things Irish! Anne is the genuine article - lovely person with a delightful Irish accent and lots of wonderful sweaters, vests, mittens, hats... and more from the Green Isle. Whenever I see that Irish cap I will remember the friendly conversation and great feeling in the shop. Great person-to-person shopping experience! Highly recommended!!!

I don't know how this store manages to survive. The last 3 times I have attempted to go there it's been closed and all 3 times were during the posted business hours. I just tried again today at noon, the sign says they open at 11 on Tuesdays, but the store was closed. There is also a sign with a phone number saying to call if you need help. How does one browse and purchase items via a phone call?? Do they think I'm going to stand around and wait for them once I call and say I want shop there?? Ridiculous! And it doesn't help that the parking isn't the greatest either. Took me about 10 minutes to find a spot and walk over only to be disappointed that they're closed :( This was my last attempt. Tired if wasting my time.

I've been wanting to go to this shop for a year now since I discovered it. I am so glad I went in, I got a great Christmas gift for a baby, the most beautiful baby booties and then it was time to shop for me, I love this hat (the most beautiful and hard to find Mangenese blue and gloves. Real craftsmanship. I put a real Irish sweater on layaway for me; have always wanted one, it's so old world looking and solid! Everythiing is made in Irland or by Anne herself or her aunt (I think), a real gem!
