Dawes Park is a lovely spot located near downtown Evanston, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the lakefront. The park features newly renovated toilets and is well-maintained. It offers a clean and spacious picnic area with benches, though there are not many tables. Dog owners appreciate the great beach area where they can bring their pets. Visitors can enjoy walking along the dock to listen to the waves and breathe in the fresh air. The park is beautiful year-round, making it a great place to experience nature, whether it's sunny in summer or a crisp winter day. Overall, it’s a delightful park for all to enjoy.
Awesome place with a great little cafe. Right on the lake, with a cool fountain to watch as well. Great place to hang out chat or read for an hour or two

Beautiful park on Evanston's Lakeshore. The geese and ducks are gone for now but they'll be back next year. Running and biking track, and a cafe during the summer months. This is where I practice Tai Chi.
