Elmer's Watersports has been serving Chicago's SCUBA experts and novices alike for over 30 years. Elmer Munk opened the shop's doors in 1971 and operated the business for nearly 30 years. The shop has grown from teaching beginner level courses and selling recreational gear, to a well rounded Scuba shop with two floors of equipment for sale and rental. We now offer training to the young and old, the novice, the advanced, and the technical Scuba diver. With a dedicated staff of instructors and divemasters, we are proud to be able to bring Scuba to you.
If ur trying to take a scuba class, this is the shop to go & ask for Robert. He’s the best instructor I’ve met. Not one of the best, just the best. Extremely passionate about teaching & very detail oriented and very patient. Also knows a lot about both skills and gear choices.

Came to replace a o-ring. The salesperson, Riley, was very helpful and assisted me in getting what I needed in a quick timeframe and at a good price. I will be coming back soon.

Great selection of SCUBA gear. Not an especially fancy place by any means, but I liked the owner a lot and what I purchased there.
