Had some remodeling done on my home, my awning was destroyed by the contractor's crew. Evanston Awning came to my rescue. Friendly professional staff, great selection of styles, colors, patterns. Well constructed, and installed to last thru any kind of weather. I highly recommend them if you want high quality work at a VERY reasonable price.

An excellent place for awning repair. They were able to get a repair done that several other shops wouldn’t do. These very pleasant people did extra work and made our awning better than the original and at a price that was very very reasonable.

Ritz Carlton pricing and Motel 6 service. The residential awning is about 3 months old and appears fine. The communication was very poor from the start, with estimated completion date, poor response time to emails and to final installation. This seems to be a common theme with other reviews.

Had Evanston Awning recover 3 awning frames on my home in Rogers Park. Daryl was very pleasant to deal with. After I contracted them, I needed a modification on one of the frames due to having me having a new downspout installed and they were able to execute the change without hassle. Also, when there was a delay in shipping my chosen fabric to due mill problems because of covid, Evanston Awning went out of their way to provide me other other options. Overall, great customer service, pleasant to work with, and high quality workmanship. Very pleased.

I got an estimate in September. Agreed on price. Paid half. They don't communicate at all. Takes 2 weeks to get a response to an email. They say they are coming then don't. They get here and the side skirts didn't fit. Took them back and fixed them. Then the overhead awning had two slots for a swing on patio. They must measured that so the chain rubs the sun tells material. So no I would NEVER EVER hire them again. Sept until April 30 to complete a small patio. Most disorganized company. I told them had I read the yelp reviews we wouldn't be having this nasty conversation because I would never have hired them. 5th generation company. I'm sure the founders are spinning in their graves. They need to fix the place.

We have had at least 10 projects done at our home over the last 8 months. This included new construction and and also updating. Evanston Awning came in tied for 1st place! For anyone who has had to deal with contractors and service goods industry companies, you have to hear this: - George is their salesman. He is extremely knowledgeable of the shade & awning business and showed us options and went into detail of all aspects of our need. I swear he bleeds awnings! He also arrived 10 min early for the appt! - Evanston Awning answers their phone on the second ring. Not a fluke as this occurred each time I called! My follow up questions were handled expertly. - Darryl kept me posted of the installation time. A true value when you have time constraints. - We had a 9am appt time- and wait for it... Eric arrived 10 min early!!. He completed the work on time and did an excellent job. Note that he is 5th generation in this family business. If we are in need of any additional shading or awning projects - Evanston Awning will be our only call!

Evanston Awning Co have done a great job for me twice now. Both times in situations where the professionalism of their crews made an impression on the jobsite. Great looking work done on time and on budget. Working all over the country it's a great relief to see a site address and know right away that the awnings won't be a problem.

I wish Yelp had a way to give negative stars.I live in a condo in Chicago. There are 12 units in the building. We made the decision, as an association, to put awnings up to help with the sun in the summer. A man from Evanston Awning came out to measure on a Thursday and told me he would have a quote to me by the following Monday. Four weeks later, I called and was told he was not done but would have it to me the following week. Two weeks after that, I called again and was told he was not in and would try to get the quote to me ASAP. I told them to forget it. If a company is too busy to follow up on a sale as large as this, they clearly are not interested in working professionally with any sense of urgency. I would avoid this company at all costs. Their work ethic, at least during the quote process, is less than exemplary.

Traditional, old school by the book, family run business... We had a superb experience with Evanston Awning. Daryl & Aaron took care of all of our needs with professionalism and care. I'd highly recommend them for anyone who understands the importance of keeping small business's afloat. Evanston awning is five generations strong and we greatly appreciate they are carrying on the family tradition.
