These crooks keep raising prices. A dollar per item adds up. Bakery is so expensive! WthAlso the paper bags tear and are complete junk and it ruins the experience when your groceries can't make it to your door as they tumble to the ground. If gonna charge for bags, give us the good think plastic ones that last a while. Just got worse and worse this place. Plus so many rotten workers. Never get a proper hello here. ?

They’ve added a bag fee which isn’t an issue. The issue is they no longer bag groceries while charging a fee. You’re expected to pay for the bag and bag it yourself. Better off going to Mariano’s a few blocks over.

The people are nice in person but a headache to deal with over the phone. I requested a refill; the next day I received a voicemail from a technician stating that my Rx was ready for pickup. I tried to transfer the Rx closer to my new address by calling a different Osco to fill it there - they called the Howard Osco to transfer it. I called the Howard Osco and spoke with the pharmacist who said he was already on the phone with the other Osco and that he would call me back. He never called back so I attempted to reach him 4 times - the pharmacist finally answered the 4th attempt and let me know that the Rx was actually just a note from my MD stating that I needed to make a Dr appointment. Had the pharmacist called back and left a simple 10 second voicemail to let me know this, it would have saved me the trouble of having to call the pharmacy repeatedly with no answer (and calling the other Osco repeatedly with no answer). This location is nice to deal with in person but an absolute waste of time to deal with over the phone. A lot of the techs here seem totally lost.

I ordered a prescription refill in April before I left for vacation. When we returned home, I was only able to pick up a partial prescription. It was on back order. We were told to come back in a few days. My husband tried a few times to get the rest of my prescription. Today when he went for the unteenth time to try and get the rest of my prescription, he was told there were no refills and we needed to contact my doctor. When I tried to call the pharmacy to get things straitened out, I was put on hold for over an hour, until I finally decided to drive over there, on a Friday afternoon which is a total pain.Upon arriving, I saw there was noone waiting in line, so I don't understand why noone was able to pick up the phone when I called.I was originally helped by a pharmacy tech, when she couldn't figure it out, one of the Pharmacist came over, he couldn't figure it out, so I had to go to another window, the head pharmacist then looked it up and told me that the drug was on back order, and that I could go to another phamacy and they could call and give them the prescription if they have it in stock. Why we weren't told this in the first place is beyond me, we wasted numerous trips (atleast 4 0r 5) to osco, wasting our time and gas. They acted like it was no big deal. Very disappointing.

I go with a program I run, to the store. The staff is ridiculously kind to everybody in my program. Patience. Hopeful. And the food is always good and fresh! Can't ask for anything better than that!

The deli was opened they still had chicken out there was two deli meat workers working the African American women was helping some customers out she purposely told the customers she was helping to tell us she was closed because she knows she can’t tell us she is closed but me and my wife saw and heard when she told the customers to tell us she is closed she isn’t helping anymore customers it literally didn’t cost to much trouble to just grab a bucket fill it with chicken wings and send us on our way that was very rude of her and no I wasn’t going to sit there and argue with a worker about not wanting to serve us when she knows what her duties are I liked it better when they had the Hispanic guy working there he had better customer service but because of this I will not support this jewel osco again I’d rather drive a bit more to the Skokie location

Great that it's open 24 hours, but the service lately has been horrible. Long lines, slow service. Staff not as friendly as in the past.

We stopped in to buy my sister's favorite La Victoria Salsa Brava Hot Sauce it's on sale BOGO= Buy One Get One. Then we both found a can of Bubble Milk Tea in a Tan can by RICO my flavor is Thai coffee hers is Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea in a Black can for $2.49 each. This store also sells Certified Kosher foods, bakery items and other supplies like foil, paper plates, candles, juices, etc. They have their own section in the same grocery store. This grocery store is our favorite store. We have been going to Jewel-Osco since the 70's. Yes, still love shopping at their many location's. Because you never know what you might find?

I went in to pick up some meds for my husband after he had outpatient surgery. I called first to make sure they were ready because I didn’t want to leave him alone too long post op. Got there and they said one would be another hour.On top of that, once I got home I realized I was missing one. When I called about it they were like “oh yeah, we need prior authorization.” You can’t just not give/not tell me about a med the doctor prescribed? Turns out the out of pocket cost was $6.92. I’d have happily paid that to not have to make another trip.Hard to trust they’re dispensing things accurately.

This review is for their produce. I bought the cut up fresh fruits on Dec 23, it was on sale 3/$12. I got fresh chunks of cantaloupe, honey dew and watermelon.I’m so surprised that it was sweet ,fresh and tasty. I served it to my family for Christmas brunch. Thank you Jewel Produce department for keeping a good standard.
