This is the worst beauty shop ever. I bought a body cream and returned it because I discovered it was fake. I was very polite and did not accused them of selling fake product. She was so upset when I asked if they order directly from the company. She inferred that I was bleaching by saying " I wouldn't know if it is original because I don't use bleaching cream. When I tried to educate and correct her ignorance she said " all the cream I sell here are bleaching cream". She was so rude and yelling so all the other customers in the store could hear our conversation. When I told her she was been rude, she called the Police to come and remove me from her store and called me "crazy woman" To my surprise, the police actually came about 2 minutes later while I was in my car driving off. DO NOT go to this shop if you don't want to get yelled at, called crazy and accused of bleaching and worst still get police called on you.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I’ve lived in both the Evanston and Skokie area for over 10 years and this is one of the worst establishments I’ve seen in a long time. The original main beauty caught on fire and I was devastated, so you can imagine how excited I was when they said they were opening back up again about a year or so later. The employees working there are extremely rude and unhelpful. They have personal and inappropriate conversations in front of customers. I’m starting to think even beauty supplies should start enforcing a dress code, because the clothes I’ve seen them dressed in are distasteful to say the least. They need a remodel from the inside at this point and pick their employees more wisely this time around. I’ll drive the extra 20 minutes it takes me to get to Howard beauty in Evanston just to avoid Main beauty which is only about 5 minutes from where I live.

They close early and don’t follow to their scheduled times. You have to call to make sure they’re open.

The store and products get a 3. The majority of the staff a 1. The last time I was in no one asked if they could help me, no one ever does actually. When I got to the counter the cashier never looked at me during the entire transaction. So passive aggressive and rude. I lost my debit card that day. When I called to inquire, I thought the store was closed. The phone rang like 7 times. I think I'll just drive a bit further to Howard next time.

In Evanston IL the beauty supply store is named Main Beauty Supply, 838 Dodge Ave, Evanston IL 60202... What is odd is that I crossed paths with the immigrant manager, as she crossed in front of my car earlier that morning about 9AM. I thought to myself 'how tired she seemed, how souless were her eyes, and what was that large keychain she carred on her waist with what appeared to be hundreds of keys and what locks did they open? I followed her with my eyes and realized she was going to open Main Beauty Supply, and just then I decided to shop after I'd finished my other appointment in the area. I bought 3 items, which were placed in a too small bag, and while crossing the door to the outside (barely out the door) one item fell out and broke... I returned immediately and asked for it to be replaced...and the African mgr turned immediatley very hostile and said NO REFUND, NO REPLACEMENT... I am not used to shopping this type of establishment inside my city, and I demanded a replacement or I would report this kind of treatment to the CIty of Evanston...we had a choice exchange of words, wherein, I reminded her that we are not in Africa, where the customer has no rights...she hostily relented and replaced the item...LAST TIME EVER WILL I GO INTO THIS PLACE!???Unfriendly atmosphere·Painful experienceAlways find my hair products

One of the employees who has been working there for a while was quite rude. Second time experiencing her unprofessional behavior. That sealed the deal for me. I won't be going back. The quality of the merchandise has changed as well.
