I got my oil changed here on a 2018 cooper s. The first and last step of this process is un-securing and later securing flaps in the splash shield of the car. I was just rinsing the underbody of my car to find that the openings in the splash shield were NOT secured and two flaps were dragging on the ground. One was for the oil filter and the other was for I’m not sure what. I was able to close and secure them myself by putting my face to the ground and reaching underneath the front end, but I’m worried it could’ve caused unnecessary rust and corrosion as it’s the middle of the winter. Thank god nothing bad happened to any of the exposed components. The rest of the oil change was fine but this is such a ridiculous oversight it makes me mad I don’t want parts of my car dragging on the ground.

The shop in Evanston Chicago scam me for 50 dollars. They told me price for fixing TPMS sensor will be from 60 to 100 dollars, but they bring me check to 290 which a lot more than that told me. I refused to pay, so they charged me for 50 bucs for diagnostic which I didn’t asked.
Shop lied about price twice.
Guys, try to avoid this place. There bad rating for a reason

Ridiculously inflates pricing! Especially if you are a woman. For shocks replaced, quoted far higher than any other competitive dealer in the area for my Nissan Versa, 2008.
I have had similar experience there with other cars I've had.

My family has been going here for years. I had had a nail on the side of my tire that cannot be fixed. So they gave me affordable options and was able to get the repair done within a day very pleasant and when they called to say it was done, they only called me but they texted me to make sure I got the message, I went and got my car and was out the door in no time. Will definitely go back.

The Evanston Midas team has been my family’s go-to location for excellent car service for 17 years! They are incredibly knowledgeable, honest, timely, and just really good people! Dealing with car repairs is never a fun process, but Edgar & Jerry make it soooo much easier with their clear communication and pricing and their excellent customer service. There have been many times over the years where they went above and beyond to problem solve a tricky situation and make sure we always had safe vehicles for road trips. I trust them 100% and that’s not something that I say lightly. And Edgar & Jerry have been working there for literally decades, so just that fact alone says a lot about the caliber and character of the place. I promise they will take good care of you and your car!

I will be returning to this location for all my future service needs. This Midas location is fantastic and provides incredibly fair pricing! The I have previously been taken advantage of by another Nationally franchised shop up the street (not Midas) and as a result have only used the dealer for about 7 years. I am a mid-30's woman who looks even younger and have felt hesitant to take my vehicle anywhere but the dealer without my husband or father present after my experience at this other shop. I am not a mechanic, but I've had my vehicle for over a decade and keep up with my maintenance and repairs and can usually tell what kind of work needs to happen (engine noise, tires, suspension, etc). The dealer has been fine, but the costs are high and it takes them quite a long time to finish the work. I walked into Midas and was greeted kindly by Edgar to have an oil change. I had the oil change and they did a full diagnostic and suggested some repairs. There was zero pressure to do the repairs at that location, but I did bring my vehicle back the next week and they did all the work. They went out to test drive my car after specific repairs at least 4 times during my visit. I watched the work being done from the bay. They did fantastic. My vehicle now stops on a dime!

Went to get an oil change and had to get 2 new tires. They conveniently didn’t notice that my tire rims were bent and so I got a flat tire as a result. They also didn’t properly balance my tires after putting them on and I had to take my car elsewhere to get re balanced. Will never go back there.

I have taken two of our vehicles into Midas this week. They have quickly diagnosed and repaired a number of issues for us. Today, they identified a coolant leak on a recently purchased used car. We are able to take it back to the dealership and have them fix it under warrantee which saved us a lot. Overall my experience with this Midas location has been great. Everyone has been helpful and really clear about work that needs to be done vs can be put off until my next visit.

I’ve been bringing my cars to Midas on Dempster in Evanston for years, for everything from oil changes to tire replacements to shocks/struts repairs. I trust Edgar and Gerry to be honest with options for repairs to make our vehicles safe for driving while also trying to save me money. They really take care of you at this shop. It’s so appreciated!
