I recently took my dog to get groomed. I specified just a trim in the private areas and a little trim in my dog’s tail and legs. I have a golden retriever so his hair grows awesome but the groomer specialists unfortunately botched my dog’s fur. His fur is cut up uneven. His tail was cut all the way down and uneven. His ears fur were cut down and you can see the uneven patches. You can totally tell this was done in a rush and not professionally. I am adding a 1 star review because my dog looks horrible !!! Never taking him back.

Petsmart is deleting our review of the horrible service our dog received a few weeks ago.
When Petsmart called to let us know that we had to pick up our dog because our dog was moving a lot and she got a hematoma because of the rapid moving it sounded credible for one ear, but she received same injury on the 2 ears. We asked for the short haircut and it was almost skin short(shes a puddle mix) and you could see the pink on her skin.
We did not even try to get the terrible haircut for free, we payed for it. We were advised to try to get our money back because it was nothing that was promised was delivered. We have the receipt and pictures along with a response from petsmart from the 1st post.
I believe its for the benefits of the consumer for this posts to stay up and be advised before getting service from this business.
Deleting this post will be clear signs that this business will lie in order to get their way, and i just dont think thats fair for our pets

Clean store and nice employees! Rachel was very helpful over the phone and in-person. Rachel took time out of their day to find another store with the item I wanted and called them to hold it for me!

First of all, I made a booking mistake at the Skokie location and had to call Evanston to see if they could fit me in. I was leaving for a trip the next day and HAD to get her groomed today before we left.
I got my first dog 6 months ago (rescue) and I wasn’t really sure where to take her. I brought her to 2 other places in the past that were very “posh/fancy” and expensive. I didn’t have good experiences with either, and I am not picky. I decided to give PetSmart a try (naively thinking I couldn’t get a “trendy” Pomeranian cut”) but I was so wrong!
Not only did I call them and the grooming manager went out of her way to see if anyone could squeeze me in, but someone (Shelby) did on top of her already busy schedule and she did the best job I have ever received! They were so sweet with my doggy when I dropped her off and truly went out of their way.
I am really impressed and the price is unbeatable. Thank you!!!
(Also my cashier, she was super sweet, 5/30/24 2:00pm)

Schuyler on the grooming team did an amazing first time groom on Jareth! Tara M in the training department is also absolutely the best. Our precocious Golden Retriever went through 3 levels of training with her and we are already scheduled to return in April with our newest family member (Jareth) the Great Pyrenees/Husky mix pictured here. I genuinely love the staff at this location!

This was a stressing experience, because it was our first time using the grooming service here so we didn't know what to expect. Quite frankly it will be the last time we use that service, since we will now be taking him to a groomer that is more knowledgeable and can hopefully manage our dog better. The cut given to our dog was way too close to skin, and he has a double coat. When we brought him in we were aware he had accumulated some matted hair a long the neck and legs, we knew it would have to be shaved, but they shaved his WHOLE body. This is specially bad for double coated dogs, because it can damage their hair.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment and concern regarding the abhorrent service I experienced at your veterinary clinic. Not only did my recent visit reveal a shocking disregard for Illinois's rabies laws, but it also exposed an alarming instance of racial profiling and the inappropriate involvement of law enforcement.
First and foremost, the failure of your clinic to adhere to Illinois's rabies laws is deeply troubling and entirely unacceptable. It is imperative that veterinary establishments uphold the highest standards of professionalism and compliance to safeguard the well-being of both animals and the public. Your clinic's blatant disregard for these regulations puts lives at risk and reflects a severe lack of responsibility and accountability.
Equally distressing is the discriminatory treatment I encountered during my visit. Instead of being treated with the respect and dignity afforded to all patrons, I was subjected to unwarranted suspicion and profiling simply for questioning certain practices. No individual should face such contempt for raising legitimate concerns about the care provided to their beloved pets. The fact that your clinic resorted to involving law enforcement in response to my inquiries is deeply troubling and entirely unwarranted.
It is imperative to emphasize that no patron should ever be subjected to discrimination or intimidation for exercising their right to voice concerns about the services they receive. Furthermore, the weaponization of law enforcement when your clinic fails to follow policies and procedures is not only unjust but also an abuse of power.
I demand an immediate and thorough investigation into these egregious failures, along with transparent and concrete steps to address the systemic issues of compliance and discrimination within your establishment. This includes implementing robust protocols to ensure compliance with rabies laws and providing comprehensive training to staff on cultural sensitivity and anti-discrimination practices.
Failure to address these concerns with the seriousness they warrant will compel me to take further action, including reporting this matter to relevant regulatory bodies and seeking legal recourse. I trust that you will take swift and decisive action to rectify these issues and prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
I await your prompt response and assurances that corrective measures will be implemented without delay.

DONT GET YOUR PET GROOMED HERE if you care about their wellbeing. The back room of the salon is CRAMPED with tiny kennels that most dogs can barely lie down in. The kennels just have a grate at the bottom, nothing soft or comfortable. The stylists may be talented but they don't do ANYTHING to calm down their canine clients. They wash/dry dogs in the same room and leave trash on the floor, the room is also maybe 30 sqft. Also the dog daycare is tiny and gross and dog racist to Bully breeds.
