I had such a wonderful experience at Texture with Yuki, and I love my new hair cut (long hair to chin length). I have fine, dense hair and have always struggled with managing and styling it. One thing I really appreciated was all the styling instructions. Looking forward to my next haircut!

I have long, thick, wavy hair, and have been getting Ouidad (curly /wavy haircutting technique) haircuts for over 10 years. When I moved to Chicago, I looked for someone who could do a Ouidad cut, and found Yuki at Salon Texture. At my first appointment, Yuki recommended that based on my hair type, I try a French style dry cut instead, so I did. I'm so glad I tried it! My hair is so much more manageable (way less bulky!) even four months after my cut. I just went back for my second cut with Yuki and and am pleased with the results again. Plus, Yuki is fun to chat with while she's working on your hair!

I just happened into meeting Yuki as I was in town for a meeting and wanted my hair to look nice. Salon Texture was near my hotel. Little did I know that I would get such a nice haircut that everyone has been complimenting! My hair can get a bit thick and unruly, and is also dry and damaged. Yuki thinned it out and now it looks stylish, healthier, and frames my face much more nicely. I bought the hair products that she recommended, which have really helped. Drying it is so much faster and easier now too! On top of that, I really enjoyed talking with Yuki about all the places she's traveled to, and seeing her eclectic travel collections decorating her shop.

Store was very uniquely decorated, which is what initially drew me to it. Tiki is great and clearly very knowledgeable about hair types like mine (fine, full, and wavy) and she knew things about my hair that took years for me to figure out on my own. Cut my hair perfectly, and my family says my bangs have never looked better. Will go back when I can afford it again, very worth it. Recommended good products.

Spending 45 minutes with Yuki is just wonderful. Not only does she give you an excellent haircut but her personality is warm and inviting! She has a really special to do her hairstyling —so many things to look at and take in. But she is just fantastic leading me to a new hairstyle that brought compliments by so man. She is THE BEST!!!

I wish there was an option for 10 stars!!! I took my son for a haircut with Yuki today, and I left wondering how in the world it took us 14 years to find her. My son has VERY curly hair and it has been challenging, to say the least, to find someone who understands the art and science of curly hair. Yuki gave him the best cut he has ever had AND she spent time with him showing him how to style his hair. Do not waste any more tears or money if you have curly hair - go see Yuki! She will change your life (I mean it).

Yuki is the best CA blonde colorist!!!! When you move to a new city it's really hard to find a blonde colorist and Yuki made it happen today! I left the salon sunkissed blonde and super happy! Love it!!

Salon Texture is my go to salon for my hair needs. I have been going to Yuki for a few years now and I always walk out of there in awe. Yuki gives me a hair trim and color that is undeniably the best in the Chicagoland area. I have long straight hair which can be bland and boring, but, Yuki puts her special touches and layering techniques that makes it look fun and sexy. My last hair color was interestingly fun. She added blonde highlights to my dark brown hair underneath the crown for a fun look when I go out and professional when at work. I'm still getting compliments and it's been 3 months! You know that anxiety when you sit in the chair and cross your fingers and hope the hair stylist understands what you want? There is no anxiety here because she instills trust with her confidence and her artistic approach. Either you got it or you don't...Yuki's got it and then some. The salon is clean, across from JoyYee's, and parking is out front. What more can I say? Go and check her out.

I got the best haircut from Yuki! She asked questions and immediately knew exactly what I wanted. She took into account my hair type and what is the best way to cut my curls. It is evident the pride she takes in her work and it shows! Finally, I found my place and I will be back.
