The fact that the carts lock as soon as you hit the door is a HUGE ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE FOR ME AND THE CITY OF EVANSTON NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS! Especially with the amount of elderly and/or disabled people who patron here.

This Target is smaller but has everything a college kid would need! Easy to maneuver thru and has a CVS pharmacy inside. Closest place for Northwestern students (20 min walk in good weather) to get snacks and food at outside of Whole Foods. Has NU gear as well.

I stopped here from out-of-town during Northwestern's Commencement weekend. I was so excited that this store was only within a few minutes' walking distance from my sister's apartment. It's so different from where I live and work in Atlanta because we have to drive everywhere here, unless you're in Midtown or Buckhead or live right nearby the neighborhood downtown center. They only have self-checkout stations and it isn't a large store so you wouldn't have to go through too many aisles before checking off your grocery list.

This location has outstanding customer service. Lakivia and manager Michael went above and beyond when I was trying to find my heated glove that I thought I lost in the store. They were very compassionate and took their time to see how they could help. The good energy helped me find it. Thank you both very much. I appreciate you so much. I shop at this location often and it's always a good experience every time. AND when I called back in to make sure I had Lakivia's name spelling correct, I got EVEN MORE unexpectedly wonderful customer service from Brittinae! Thank you, all!

They didn't have an item saying that it was in stock and to make it worse, they don't validate parking.

CONVENIENCE: One stop shopping that was super convenient for hubby and I!!We came here to get a few items and it's a bit small but still has all the departments that the big targets have as wellWe got a lot of items for less than $200 and this proves Target still has the great deals with the quality!Highly recommended next time you're in Evanston!!

I had a tricky issue that I couldn't get resolved via Target phone or chat support, or the product manufacturer's support site. I came over to the store on my lunch break in a last ditch effort to see if there was anything anyone could do for me. Ian, the manager, understood what I was looking for right away and went above and beyond to get my issue resolved. I came in hopeful and left happy.

As a NU employee, this shop is the closest and largest for multi-purpose shopping.I have been here many times and, as European I would say the equivalent of Lidl / Aldi. It's just cleaner, more transparent. I think at fair prices, although I don't have much experience with that yet.

What a cute, mini Target! I was condo/cat sitting in the building that houses Target. So while in Evanston, I went downstairs to pick up a few things. It's seems so convenient for this area of Evanston, where there was a lot of foot traffic. The store itself was very clean and tidy. The food and beverage sections were huge, with a lot more emphasis in this area than clothing etc. The bathroom area had a lot of selections too. They also offer a nice area of holiday/seasonal items, greeting cards and decor. The staff was very nice. They were friendly and helpful. I love it when staff of a business makes me feel appreciated. Although this store is pretty small, it does offer the basics plus more. There is a parking garage attached also.

2/2021 First time in this store. Like other targets, but MUCH smaller. Some grocery items, some clothes. Good for a down town area, but missing a lot of things if you need the big selections. Thought the prices were slightly higher on some things too. Possibly for being down town. Staff was ok, not outstanding, but ok. Place was clean and sanitary. Direct access from the parking garage was a plus as it was snowing. All in all, I would shop here again if I am ever in downtown Evanston again.

Last night I saw pan handers fighting in front of the store and It made me cross the street and just walk away instead of going into Target to get a few simple groceries. I went to Wholefoods instead. I walk by this Target every day and this location has been the most convenient place for me to buy things on my way home from work. However, I now walk across the street instead to avoid harassments from the pan handlers who are sitting in front of the store all the time. I also noticed that the front of the store is getting messy. I don't understand why Target is not doing anything about it but letting those people keep harassing customers walk in and out.

The concept of this smaller store in Downtown Evanston was thrilling to me initially as I live in a high rise two blocks away. Unfortunately, I have found this store to be incredibly frustrating - often poorly stocked on common toiletry essentials and very overpriced compared to the neighboring Target stores a mere 3 miles away in Evanston and Skokie. Example: a two pack of Bounty huge rolls of paper towel is $9.99 at this store vs. $6.99 elsewhere and at Target.com. It also seems to be very poorly managed. The vibe from the staff here is "I just work here...call our corporate office with your complaints." Not recommended.

Have yet to have a positive experience at this Target location. I've ordered 3x from the target circle app, and when notified that my order is ready and it never is when I go pick it up. Very small selection of grocery/pantry items and those that are there are extremely overpriced, especially the groceries. Its not worth buying anything here unless you are in a serious pinch for time.

I've never been to one of these smaller Target stores near a University. Due to the smaller footprint I would go here ONLY if I was in a hurry. They have much less selection and many items are out of stock. Shelves were completely empty. The prices on most items were also higher than a full service Target; and there were very few sale items. I was told by an employee they have a captive consumer in the Northwestern students; so they can charge more and don't have to put items on sale. No one could answer my question when I inquired if the parking in the adjacent parking lot was complimentary to Target shoppers. I would definitely avoid this Target unless I was in a hurry or just needed a few items.
