One of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Dropped my car off at 4:30 p.m. — no updates on when it would be ready, no mention that pickup after 7:00 p.m. wasn’t allowed. At 6:45 they told me it was ready, but when I showed up at 7:10 the place was deserted. The service agent - Victorino Maristela - nowhere to be found. A random technician finally told me the department was closed.
I was stranded, wasted money on two Ubers, and had to come back the next morning just to get my car. And when I did, it hadn’t even been washed.
We bought our car here and have been loyal with service, but this experience was a complete failure in basic communication and customer care. Absolutely unacceptable — we won’t be coming back.

Very poor service overall. They keep the car for 10 days, but out of those 10 days they only work on it for less than a single day – and you can actually see that in the Mazda app, which shows when the doors or hood are opened. Then, they don’t care if you actually hear something wrong with the car – they only care about what the computer says.
My car has an issue with the steering wheel making a cracking sound when turning, and the transmission jerks while driving. They told me, “Oh, that’s just the transmission not yet adapted to your driving style.” As for the steering and front suspension, they simply said: “Our technicians didn’t find anything.” But as soon as you leave the service and drive just a few miles, the same issues happen again.
The car only has 7,000 miles, and already these problems are showing. I’m not saying Mazda is a bad brand – this is actually the third Mazda we’ve owned, and none of them, nor any of my friends with the same or similar models, have had transmission issues like mine. But of course, the service and their so-called technicians, who clearly have no clue and rely only on the computer, keep saying there’s no problem.
Be careful, people, when you take your cars to service!

Avoid this place like the plague, they have terrible customer service. Auto service people are rude and incompetent. Watch out, they will not honor the corporate Mazda warranty and you'll have to go to another dealership.

I have been taking my 2021 CX-30 here since I purchased it new. I’ve mostly worked with Jay, who takes very good care of me & my vehicle! The communication is exceptional and appreciate the inspection/service videos they share to illustrate what was done & why they are recommending repairs. Most often only regular maintenance has been required, but the few times I’ve needed repairs, they’ve been great about providing information and options. My Mazda is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever owned and that, combined with the extraordinary service I have received at Mazda Autobarn Service of Evanston, ensures that my next vehicle will be a Mazda, too! Thank you.

Thieving service employees. Beware! I brought my VW Jetta there for service with my nice leather coat locked away in the trunk. It was missing when the car was done. Service personnel stole my fancy leather coat and management did not care, did nothing.

I had excellllllent service especially working with Sandy! She worked me through a situation that required a comprehensive auto insurance claim. She chose a loaner car that was like my model. She set me up and called to check on me. Throughout the repair time, she was very available. The repair was done ahead of time, too. She (and others service advisors who helped when she was absent) are great. Best care service I've ever had at a dealership.

Why make an appointment? Four hours and counting to copy a key and tell me for a mere $700 more they can actually fix my broken mirror (and a bunch of other stuff I didn’t ask for or care about). What a waste of time.

2.5 hours for an oil change when I have an appointment is crazy. Then after the oil change they recommend I get a few other things done. I ask how long it’ll take - another 2 hours. Who has time to sit at a service center for 4.5 hours? What’s the point of even having an appointment?

I have been leasing a Mazda for several years now and have been taking my car here every 3-6 months for maintenance checks. I've always received great customer service. I drop my car off on my scheduled appointment time, they offer free shuttle service to work and from work, the mechanic sends me a video of my car to show me what they worked on and point out anything that needs repair, and texts me when it's ready. Of course they charge a lot per hour but it's expected. When I can sit there and wait for my car, they have a comfortable waiting room filled with snacks, drinks, and free wifi. This place may be difficult to find at first since it's behind the Jewel and Target, but location is ideal.

Very fast and efficient. Their waiting lounge is very comfortable and equipped with internet, coffee and even snacks. Go to address for servicing your car.
