The Main Apartments are in a fantastic location in Evanston, close to great restaurants, shops, and transit. The building offers beautiful views and a welcoming, pet-friendly environment that makes it feel like home. The staff, Pam, Charity, and Steve, are always kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Their friendly service really sets this place apart. Overall, it’s a wonderful community in a great part of town!

From the incredibly responsive staff of Pam, Charity and Steve to the wonderful amenities, we have loved living at the Main. The location can’t be beat and it really has everything we need — including heated garage parking! The highlight, though, is definitely the staff. Their kindness and prompt response to anything we need is so appreciated and such a perk to living in a luxury building. We have truly enjoyed our 3+ years here and would highly recommend it!

With The Merion's charm it''s the perfect place to spend your retirement years. When you wake up in the morning your biggest decision is what activities you would like to participate in and which of the four restaurants you'll choose to dine in.
You'll feel as you're on a vacation 365 days a year.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Main while pursuing my master’s degree at Northwestern University, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The living standards here are top-notch, complemented by awe-inspiring views that never cease to amaze. The location is also fantastic, with an abundance of grocery stores and restaurants just a stone’s throw away—everything you need is within easy reach. I highly recommend The Main to anyone looking for a premium living experience in a vibrant neighborhood!

We had so much fun living at the main for the past year! The building is very quiet, with great location, nice view, very good amenities, and friendly staff! Charity and Pam have been very helpful, maintenance is timely and effective. Our personal favorite is the ping pong table and bbq grill at the terrace. Sadly we had to move bc school/work but would love to live here for longer?

It's a new and nice building. Quick and good maintenance always. But several things to pay attention to before moving in.1. The rent increases crazily every year. They seem not willing to have people live there for long term. If you can find a good price and only need to stay for a year that's a good choice, otherwise run! The renew rent is even higher than starting a new lease around the same time. We saw someone moving out because of that can didn't know it would happen to us too.2. The building manager Pam literally makes mistakes every time we interact, including charging us twice for the utilities, charing us more, always putting wrong (and different??) names in the emails to me, putting wrong info in the lease, etc. Also it always takes her several days to reply to my emails, with 30% chance not replying at all.3. We found an apartment much cheaper and larger 15 mins away, so decided to move out last October. We advertised for the sublet and sent a bunch of people to the leasing office for tours (we returned the keys right after moving out). One of them literally told us that Pam was very annoyed that they heard about the sublet from us and are not interested in starting new lease directly from the office. Unfortunately we didn't find people to sublet our room, and it was until four months later that Pam told us we have an option to buy out the lease (it would cost twice the monthly rent but still much cheaper than what we paid). Of course we cannot blame her for that, but as a tenant we expected to be treated better. Pam just made life much harder for us.Thankfully we have nothing to do with the Main any more. Interaction with Pam was a nightmare. Won't recommend friends to live there.

Best place I've ever lived. The building is well-constructed - I rarely heard any sound from other units - and very well-maintained. The building's public spaces are immaculate and pleasant to be in. I stayed at The Main for nearly four years and never found it anything short of wonderful. Shout out to Pam, Charity, and Ramondo for making it a great place to be.

The apartments are new, spacious, clean, and comfortable. You get a view of Lake Michigan which is nice. The building amenities are excellent and well kept. The building is modern.Pam and her team are fantastic. They are friendly and reliable. Every time I asked, they helped me quickly and well. They also communicate clearly and promptly to residents and have been very professional during the pandemic. The location is good. The neighborhood is safe. The building is across the street from the CTA Purple stop (but you cannot hear the trains at all). The Northwestern shuttle stop is a 1min walk away. The building is within walking distance of the center of Evanston, supermarkets, and good restaurants.

It’s a very nice building but they nickel and dime residents, and there is a fee for everything!! For example, I paid additional $500 “moving fees” when I moved down the hall. I was charged twice for pricey key fabs, was misquoted a fee for a simple accent wall that cost hundreds of dollars. I’ve been charged late fees when their OWN automatic payment system didn’t work over the weekend, monthly fees for not sending a specific page of renters insurance proof...the list goes on. (My insurance company said they’ve never seen a building do this before and asked if they use “scare tactics” with residents). This is in addition to fees for trash, heat, ac, parking, water, service fees, renters insurance, storage, etc. There are a few building problems with things that don’t work such as the thermostat, the garage sensor, the door buzzers, outdoor fire pit, along with safety and security incidents that a security guard informed me of impromptu entryway security. I would not complain about one of these things had there not been a double standard for residents who seem to be charged for everything. It is a very nice building. Maintenance is quick. They are on top of most things. The “luxury” is more reflected in the prices than the building.

I really enjoyed living here. If I wasn’t moving out of state, I would have renewed my lease here 100%. I’m seriously going to miss it so much! The location is convenient since it’s right across Metra Main St station and the purple line. The staff is very friendly and extremely helpful! Maintenance responded always within a day. The package system is secure and convenient with their locker system. The cleaning staff (Maria) is so friendly and she is literally cleaning the common areas, hallways, etc multiple times throughout the day. They offer heated underground parking and it is a must if you’re not a local and is a real lifesaver during the Chicago winter! Another plus— the gym has a Peloton!Thank you Pam, Hina, and Danielle for making my move here so pleasant!

One liner; Very rude staff.I reached out to the apartment through their official homepage, and then received a text message from them saying a unit is available from early August.Next day, I just walked in since I didn't get any followup message from my reply to their previous message. I called the office at the front door and a staff member hung up TWICE while I was talking. I could have understood if they let me in, explain that they don't have time right now to take me a tour, and set an appointment, but they didn't even try to do anything for me.I could imagine this is a super fancy place to live, although I was not given a chance to look. But I doubt that its team is as nice as this place.

We've lived here for a year - the best place I've ever rented! Pam, Hina and Steve are all very caring and fast at resolving any issues like maintenance orders. Wish we didn't have to move from here due to school obligations. Highly recommend!

I spent nearly 4 years at The Main and I can say that it was an incredible living experience. From the beautiful interiors and living space to the phenomenal staff who truly want to help you, I never had any complaints about living at The Main. You get the full luxury experience living in Evanston. I only moved because I purchased a new home, but I will truly miss The Main!
