“My dad brought his truck to get the batteries replaced. The Store was very clean, the employees were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They took the time to replace another battery in a different truck, along with help making the battery safe to stay where it should be…. Didn’t charge no extra, nothing. “I'd been told by a dealership in Jan of 2022 and by a local garage in May of 2022 that I needed new brakes on my SUV. I set up an appointment online at Farm and Fleet as there aren't many places that check/install brakes here in Freeport. A gentleman from Farm and Fleet automotive called me as I'd said I needed new tires. He was very helpful in helping me choose my tires over the phone as I looked at them online, so they'd be in on my appointment date. My greatest surprise was when they said my brakes would likely last me until next fall!! For once, I didn't feel taken advantage of with my car maintenance! Thank You Farm and Fleet, I love my new tires and you saved me money! You've got my business!!!”

“After being involved in an accident I needed to replace my vehicle. Where as other dealerships and salesmen tried to pressure me into buying something I didn't want, or didn't listen to what I was looking to buy, Brendon M. was attentive and willing to work with me. We showed up about an hour before close on a Friday, he stayed while we test drove vehicles and helped me look at other locations to find vehicles that fit my criteria. Even after I found the vehicle I wanted, there was an issue with my pre-approved Financing. Barkau & Sons worked with me to find new financing with better rates than I had.The dealership is good, but Brendon makes it great. If you are in the Freeport area looking for a vehicle, you can't do better than Brendon at Barkau & Sons.”

“It’s the auto parts store where you talk to someone that actually knows what they’re selling. Good, knowledgeable people that are super easy to work with. I feel the Napa branded parts are of a much better quality than the auto-zone and o’rielley brands, although slightly more expensive. Closed Sundays and after noon Saturdays.”

“I sent my mom to oreillys on 1/26/26 to get her battery replaced. The manager for Oreillys said it was too difficult and would take too long to replace without even looking at it.
AutoZone had her battery replaced in under 15 minutes. So, if you're in the Freeport area and someone you care about runs into car trouble, DO NOT send them to oreillys. Tell them to go to AutoZone where the have knowledgeable employees who will actually get the job done.”

“Went to put on new tires I had ordered since at my last oil change at another business they told me my tires were getting bad. The mechanic, Arnold had my tires off and took me out to show me that I had over 50% tread left on my tires. He said to wait at least till winter to put on new. He rotated my tires and remounted them. Honesty is a trait that is greatly appreciated. I would recommend that type of service to anyone.Services: Tires”
