“In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. Postal Service has been widely criticized for slow and erratic delivery service, even no service at all. But there are no complaints here about the service between Galena, Illinois, and downtown Chicago. Example: For years, I have been doing business with Bill Butts and his Main Street Fine Books & Manuscripts bookstore in Galena. He has found many rare and used books in the subject matter that interests me--Civil War, World War II, Biography, Hollywood, Ancient World, Sports and Old West. And his delivery service reminds me of a story that legendary baseball player Satchel Paige used to tell about a teammate in the old American Negro Baseball League. "He was so fast," Paige said, "that he could turn out the light and jump into bed before the light went out." Well, the U.S. Postal Service between Galena and Chicago is just as fast. Example: On Monday, Butts emailed me a list of new book arrivals. One, a biography of Pulitzer Prize-winning World War II newspaper correspondent Ernie Pyle, struck my fancy. I called and ordered it. Butts put it in the USPS mail in the afternoon. Twenty-four hours later, the book arrived at my door. And that's not a coincidence. It was the third time in a row that I have had 24-hour delivery service from Butts' Galena bookstore. In a time when there are fewer and fewer bookstores, I have found Main Street Fine Books & Manuscripts to be a source for good books and reliable service. Located at 9304 Saturn Lane in Galena, Butts' bookstore offers something for every dedicated reader. His website is a library of information and he keeps readers up to date with the latest arrivals. He makes frequent trips to book sales all over the country to purchase rare books.”

“Charming independent bookstore, compact but compelling. They seem to specialize in self-help/modern philosophy/social issues type of titles, but there is plenty of fiction, history, local interest, and any other genre that you would expect. They sell beautiful posters at extremely reasonable prices as well as framing kits for them. There are offbeat greeting cards and writing supplies too. And quaint jigsaw puzzles! Back in the children's area there is a small shelf of graphic novels. However, some of these titles are definitely not for kids, e.g. The Road and 1984. Yikes!”
“I had a mediumship and tarot reading with Tamara on Zoom. It was convenient and easy to use Zoom. Tamara was able to connect with my loved ones who had passed. There were specific things Tamara would not have known about my loved ones that she told me they were telling her to identify themselves to me. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend Tamara to anyone that is missing someone or needs any comfort.
The tarot read made a lot of sense and enlightened me on things with the help of Tamara and her guides. They were all spot on! Great experience all around! Thank you, Tamara!”
