“We came to Goldmoor for a birthday dinner, so we didn’t stay. That will change next time. Its remote setting is amazing, providing beautiful panoramic views wherever you look. The wait staff was prompt and pleasant, and the owner was welcoming and conversational. We can’t wait to come back and stay.”

“This was an amazing stay had a room with a fireplace very clean room. The view outside is breathtaking. Feels like you’re not in Illinois at all love this place and not a bad price. It was only 120 bucks a night so that’s very good deal loved it. The dogs loved it, just an amazing place”
“Pretty cool motel, well taken care of and super clean. It's next door to the distillery, so you can walk there. The mattresses were pretty worn out though and probably should be replaced.”

“Perfect location and nice to have parking available on site. Fun to stay in a historic hotel. The rooms were clean. Room temp was a little uncomfortable...couldn't seem to keep room cool enough and A/C automatically went back to 75/76 every time we left. Nice to be able to walk out the front doors and be on the strip. We tried the courtyard for breakfast twice and it was very good. Sunday brunch was very good. The Generals restaurant they offer for a nice dinner was FANTASTIC! Nice to have a hotel with quality restaurants right there within! Friendly staff and easy check in/out!”
“Room was big. Bed comfortable. However we only got 2 bath towels. So asked 4 more when we went out 4 the day. We were gone about 7 hours. Room was not tidy up & we had 2 ask 4 towels. Breakfast was just ok. Not much choice. Really liked the pool/hot tub area & the deck.”

“The hotel’s location is a 10/10 for anyone looking to visit Galena’s Main Street and explore nearby attractions and activities. Customer service was fine, and the rooms were clean, although the bathroom had a slight odor. Breakfast was just okay, but that’s understandable for a small hotel.”

“Great first time experience at a Bed and Breakfast. Breakfast was delicious both mornings. Will and Tom are wonderful, making sure guests had what they needed. Room was comfortable and well kept. The potting shed was a nice hangout spot as well. Would stay there again when we visit Galena.”
