“I love this place for decor and seasonal. Actually lots of things. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes I forget it's so close to me. But definitely love shopping here.”

“Arrived last minute with only minutes before closing, which I don't like doing to store staff. Needed balloons for my daughter's birthday. Staff was friendly and courteous even though they were closing. Even refilled helium in some of the balloons. Customer service that I appreciate. Thank you. Sorry I was not able to get names of the staff members, but great job to the crew.”
“This tree is conveniently located and definitely one of the largest dollar trees I've been to. It's definitely a go-to when I need little things, some daily necessities or some food for lunch/dinner.”
“5/24 - Bought some patio furniture items here. I had a problem with one of the pieces and they immediately took care of it. Great customer service and great attitudes.”
“Came on Valentines Day with our family and the owner stopped us to vote for our favorite decorated booth and gave us $100 swap bucks (free money to spend!) Our kids had a blast finding stuff to spend it on and got SO MUCH”
“Good store but they are always setting something up and they're a lot of things happening at once so it's kinda overwhelming. They do offer very good decor for the spooky season and have funny T shirts. The prices are NOT 5 and below. A lot of the good decor is about $7.00. They do have good deals on candy. Overall, the selection of items was nice, high quality, and very suitable for the spooky season.”
“You can always find something in ollies. Is like your favorite junk drawer. You didn't know it was there but, you're glad you looked and found something unexpected.”

“Amazing store, is been a while since the last time I visited and I was not disappointed. Great selection on all sorts of items. Personel was amazing and attentive.”
“Five below is my son’s favorite place to shop. But this location is smaller than the one on Butterflied (Route 56). And since they change their stuff seasonly, obviously there are fewer options available.
We usually shop for books, board games, art supply, toys ? stickers, gadgets, excavation kits, and other indoor activities for kids.
I’d recommend Five Below to anyone. Their stuff is unique and very affordable. Literally $5 & below. Though some home products could range from $10-$20. And items they sell are one of a kind, you won’t find elsewhere.
But I definitely DON’T recommend the crystal excavation pink/purple kit. That thing was so huge, approx 5x9” a little bigger than adult palm, and damn was it a pain to dig at. It had about 20 small beads 5 millimeters in diameter all over the place...
You really needed to crumble that sucker and since the plaster or whatever they used do burry the beads at was pink in color, the coloring ? traced on your hands and wouldn’t wash off for 4 days.
My son LOVES to dig out precious gems ? coins, shells and whatever other unique items so we shop for them quite allot. Another time we purchased at 5-below a huge skull ? shape excavation set and it was a nightmare to dig ? it out. I don’t know what it was made of, but it wouldn’t budge. The set was supposed to have a Pirate ?☠️ ship model. Well, we only managed to excavate whatever item was closer to the surface, the rest was submerged in water for a MONTH and still didn’t dissolve. We ended up trashing it, saying “never again”. It was a shame. But since the kit was only $5, oh well. All the other excavation kits we purchased were flawless, except those two.
Anyway, we love Five Below but mainly go to Denada Square Plaza on Route 56.”
“I am giving 5 stars to the manager, tall cashier dude that's always present, and the older woman that typically closes because these workers bust their humps!
To the contrary I want to say to the owner, general manager, etc
I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!
As a professional, please do not respond with, " I'm sorry to hear this. Please email me or please understand.... ( Whatever reason is given it is not good enough)"
In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.
I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"
Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.”
“Very clean store very friendly people the bakery will make you any kind of donuts you asked them to do. The store even has pistachio cakes available most of the time”
“They finally updated their location about a year ago. This used to be one of my favorite DTs before the pandemic, but they started "Falling Off" years before the pandemic. The location started to feel "Low Budget" meaning, they barely had anything and the stock was always low. I actually stopped going to this one. But they are now back on track and the stock is always healthy.”
“Jennifer, you're the shit! The kids in the evening were also pretty great. I am chronically ill as well as being sick at the moment, and they all ran around the store to find the very last of an item while I rested at the register <3
I *LOVE* how many Legos are carried now!!! I'm very excited to see if Blocktech is going to come out with new succulent and flower lines this year :)
Company question, why is there only a complaint line through corporate? I had to leave my compliments for Jennifer and her team with the complaint dept. That's not going to inspire loyalty in your staff, or customers obviously. Please make it easy to leave compliments where they belong! And maybe give that girl a raise”
“Visited 12/28/25 to look for nail glue. We asked for help by the register and the woman working was so helpful! She jumped up and helped my daughter look up and down the isle. We looked everywhere, she even went in the back to look.
Even though we could not find it; my daughter was so impressed with her kindness that she wanted to go online and leave a nice review. It was her birthday and the kindness she received was the cherry to her night. Thank you! We will be back for future needs”
“My go to for Halloween ? decorations for office and home. When you shop early in season you can really find some pretty cool finds. Not to mention the price is just right.”
“I stopped there the other day to get a phone mount for in the car. The first one I bought did not work right?
So when I went back in the manager was so awesome judy. She even came outside to try and help me with the second one that I bought. I have never had an employee, let alone A. Manager at a dollar general come out and try and assist me with a product that I bought.”
“Good store for buying decent quality stuff. Most of the goods here are for kids or teenagers and a few items for adults. There are a few things which are more than $5 which is like the dollar stores which advertise everything below $1 but have several products more than that. There is a nice variety of stuff from toys, posters, no groceries.”
“I've been dealing with this business for over 20 years. Very fair people and owners. Excellent service and items are what they present. I will continue to purchase from them. I always visit them at there showroom in Rosemont. In fact there's about 50 suppliers there showing off their items about every 6 weeks. I highly recommend visiting. the "TMC"”
“The staff is friendly. The store has some of everything. I always go for one particular thing and end up coming out with several things that I did not plan on buying.”
“Love this dollar store. Has so many nicer quality and just more varitety of party favors, goodie bag items, decor, food, etc. Just really sad the prices went up. Doesn't feel like a dollar store anymore when you need 10-20 items+.”
“Store has plenty of selection. Best grocery store with the freshest food around the area. Owner is a very nice lady. She provides fantastic ethnic groceries and a decent price.”
“Excellent store, always clean, great customer service. Managers great, cashiers are very friendly, I was reading some ov the reviews, one got my attention. SIS, MAYBE if your nose wasn't in their business you wouldn't of had a bad experience. Who knows what they were talking about mind your own. I see some frustrations there, the customers don't pick up after themselves, they leave things on the floor if they drop it, or put it on a shelf where it don't belong , gift bags mainly, pick up the bags you drop! Stealing is another issue, STICKERS you go though the stickers and leave stacks on the shelves shame on you. So before you put something down where it don't belong... think about it PUT IT BACK! You are making the store look dirty and you are doubling the work of the employee's because now they have to clean up after your bad lazy decisions
Thumbs up to the staff!”
“Dollar General Villa Park is an awesome store. The staff is always very friendly making it a pleasure to shop there. The employees are always busy restocking shelves therefore it must be a very popular money making store. Great job General Dollar Villa Park!”
“Vittoria was wonderful! She was extremely hospitable and sweet. She welcomed me graciously when I entered the store, helped me find the bathrooms and products I needed. As she was helping me through checkout she greeted me again, asking how my day was and verifying I got everything I needed. I don’t often find store associates who engage with customers so kindly and professionally. Thank you again for making my experience so great!”
“These days, people have a lot to complain about and they use this platform to show their true colors.
We came here to get balloons and party favors for my person’s daughter’s 16th birthday. We were treated to warm personalities and very helpful guidance while getting our helium on. Ari and Joey were great. Consummate professionals that quickly got us in and out with the coolest bouquet of birthday balloons ever. If you’re in the area, stop in because we really enjoyed the whole experience. Which isn’t always the case. Thanks Ari & Joey!!
Sincerely,
LC & D”
“I was surprised with this Dollar Tree! Very clean, organized and full of products for everything. Never felt this way in a dollar tree store before. Christina was calm and polite in the cashier. Very nice!”
“Amazing prices! You have to come check it out this store has been here for YEARS! I never knew so please moms lots of kids clothing for the whole family at amazing prices! :)”
“It’s the dollar tree, you literally get what you pay for, but that’s what makes the dollar tree great. You don’t expect the best but that what you look for at a dollar tree where literally everything is a dollar.”
“Omg.. I’ll never forget this kind lady associate manager who helped take care of me today. I usually buy my dishes, bowls and coffee mugs at IKEA. But I was just browsing around in the store. And found and I bought some beautiful floral design dishes with matching coffee mugs and matching placemats. This is my treat for my Mother’s Day. So when I have my friends or family over at my place. They will be surprised at the beautiful table setting with beautiful dishes, coffee mugs and matching placemats.
Thank you to dear nice lady night manager Hope. I love this store because of its beautiful kinds of things you can buy. And I am handicap I walk with a cane now since my stroke because I have lupus vasculitis. I had angioplasty surgery I have right vertebral stent & I have numbness on my right side body now.
It’s hard for me to go shopping. But it’s people like dear kind Hope that make a difference in life. Thank you so much Hope for helping me today. That was so nice of you.
God bless. Hope you have more of God’s blessings to come (:
Check it out at the dollar tree store. I haven’t gone there for a long time. It’s really a great place to shop. I give Hope 5 stars for great customer service.”
