“I can't even begin to tell you how helpful, patient and kind that Mike in the Appliance Department was to me. I ordered my GE Electric Stove on line. I decided to go to the Glenview Home Depot so I could see the Refrigerator and Dishwasher. He spent much time with me explaining and answering my questions. He is a cheerful person and I could tell he liked his job. You are lucky to have such an employee! I give 5 Stars to Mike and I look forward to working with him if I should need a washer & dryer. I refuse to shop at your biggest competitor as their prices are too high and they charge fees for every little thing! My contractor agrees and tells his customer to shop at Home Depot for all appliances. Please share this with Mike. Kathie T.”

“Highly recommend! Having our Minnesota snow/ice storm and not being able to travel to IL. I called Pesche's Des Plaines store to order flowers for a funeral, they were so nice and helpful and I was told by many how beautiful, one said spectacular and colorful the arrangement was! Pricing was great and delivery was excellant, they charge by distance not just a straight fee so that was really great! Thanks for such great service and beautiufl flowers. Joan”

“Staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable as well. The only issue I have is the wood cutting. Had to return a few pieces of plywood and get them recut. Also, the cuts were not great as it looks like the blade they used is not in the best shape. I would definitely come here again but I don't think I'll be paying for wood cutting here in the future.”

“I go to this location prob 2-3x a week over the last 3 months. Everyone does the best they can for being a high volume location pinned against a strips of fast food. Other HD near by are out of red mulch, stones, gutters or just random stuff but this location runs out and restocks. I was behind a woman whom was returning flowers and complaining for over 20-25 minutes because she planted them in March and didn't cover or any other protection. It was mid June when she decided to go "Karen" on everyone in the store and talk to the manager's manager's manager. I was expecting her to ask for the Home Depot board members' personal information next.Customers just need to chill out and get over themselves. Curbside pickup is easy as you can put in your spot location on your order login or text it. This location also has a wider selection of crown molding that others done near by. I would like to add an employee named Greg who was picking online / curbside orders I'm guessing was super helpful and charming on my last visit. He helped me located some patio furniture that comes in multiple boxes and give us inventory levels at the Randhurst location. Put on your mask, shut up and give the employees a break cause we're all in this together.”

“The owner is amazing - she’s the plant whisperer!!! I came in with my sick orchid. The orchid came from my mom, who recently passed away, so I really want this little plant to survive, but I know nothing about orchids. The owner took it out of its pot, treated it with love, checked its health by looking at the roots, told me all about it, and fixed it up a little special dirt + bark mix made of 3 different things. My plant looks so happy now! Thanks, Sunnyside Plants - you’re the best!!!”

“Going to make this review short and sweet.Thank you so much Abby for making me a sweet and simple flower crown for my October cemetery shoot!I came here with my dog in late October because I wanted a tiny and simple flower crown for my hair. I stated I wanted the flowers to be dark or black and Abby ordered the perfect floral arrangement with my specific corpse bride request. I'm now patiently waiting for the flowers to dry up so I can have it for a future project. The staff here gave me an extremely reasonable price on short notice and I also purchased a cute vase with three dead flowers that I included in my Day of the Dead themed cemetery shoot.I highly recommend this cute flower boutique and will use their services again without hesitation. “I have a friend who is a passionate gardener as myself, so when her special 'milestone' birthday came along, I wanted to send her something she could eventually plant in her yard rather than a floral bouquet. I chose a pink azalea. Though I live in the western suburbs, I wanted to find a florist in her Jefferson Park neighborhood. I chose Wall's Flower Shop on Higgins but the website was redirected to Donna's Garden Flower Shop near Pulaski & Peterson. I spoke to Avi on the phone and he was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This floral shop was extremely conscientious about delivering this fragile plant in the midst of our cold January weather. They called my friend and made sure she was home to receive it. She was extremely excited and thrilled to receive her gorgeous plant full of pretty pink buds. I will definitely recommend Wall's Flower Shop/Donna's Garden Flower Shop to all my Chicago friends!”

“TLDR; Outstanding experience! (Paint department). Massive shout out to the amazing worker who was able to help me with my home improvement project. I came to Home Depot not knowing how to paint, and left confident enough to finish the project in one night. The young gentleman working in the paint department on Jan 18th, 2024 ~8p was extremely knowledgeable and gave me amazing advice. My bathroom turned out beautiful!! Everyone I spoke to showed kindness and compassion, which is rare these days.. I now found a new love for Home Depot and am excited to shop at this specific store again (I even came back for more paint!!)”

“Best garden center in the city and suburbs. Nothing comes close. Was just there and the 2023 "overpriced" Xmas tree issue was a mistake... the trees had been mis-marked and the issue has been fixed. Bad mistake on Gethsemane's part? Yes, but the issue was rectified. I asked a salesperson about it because the trees all seemed to be fairly priced and similar to last year's prices... nothing like what I had read here on Yelp. The staff here actually know and care about plants, unlike other garden centers. If you want cheap, sunburnt petunias and marigolds? Go to Home Depot... no one's stopping you. But if you want better quality plants and a far better selection, go to Gethsemane and pay a little more. It's worth the extra money. The employees are awesome and give great advice and service. Possibly my favorite store in Chicago, period.”

“Surprised to read negative reviews. This place is great! I have loads of plants from there (and other stores bc I have LOADS of plants in my house). None have ever been sick or infested. The store is adorable. They are far and above the most helpful staff. They will even repot a plant that isn’t even from their store (small fee) and offer advice. I brought in a sad peperomia which is now thriving thanks to Cultivate staff. They have a great selection of plants and pots. I like keeping mine in the containers, so I don’t mind no holes (and saucers take up space when your windows are already crowded). They’ll even drill a hole if you want it (small fee). It’s a business in Evanston- I think the prices are fair. If you want cheap plants and no service, try a HD.PS- they also have local artisan jewelry and a nice rewards program. I drive 35 mins to go specifically to this store.”

Seriously, I’m usually there for a minimum of 30 mins to get nuts and bolts… you know in those drawers that have nuts and bolts already torn open (stolen) before I got there and no one replenished the stock or took out the empty bags. Regardless, I keep going back. Why? They offer military discounts (10%) and I appreciate that. Bottom line, I eventually find what I’m looking for 90% of the time, it’s just never quick!”
