“I ordered cedar mulch and river rocks and got delivered the next day. Lily from phone customer support was really helpful. I tried to check their office in Volo and Jim explained to me the difference between the mulches and helped me to decide what to get, he's very nice and helpful”
“These guys are the best. Have used them many times for major landscaping upgrades. And they have never let me down. Everything they do is “Top Drawer First Class””
“Great experience- will definitely return to these guys. I have always had my lawn mower repaired at a hardware store. But that store was backed up 12 weeks. Grower ordered a part and had my mower back on the road in a week and a half. Reasonably priced and very nice people.”
“Great selection of landscaping supplies at good prices! This is a landscape professional-centric though, so not really a place to come and walk around browsing (in Volo, specifically). Their website lists everything available along with prices.
I picked up some bulk soil and they did a great job being careful while loading it in my truck bed.”
“The place to go when you need common annuals, bushes, or trees. Great sales after the main planting season has passed.
Also the place for Simpson Strong Tie connectors which are the thing to use in construction.
They also carry manila rope handy for lashings projects.”
“S&S Landscaping has been my favorite go to place for everything from annual potted flowers, hanging baskets, bushes, trees, mulch and Christmas trees! The staff is always friendly and helpful. They are always accommodating with fast delivery when I wait until the last minute to order mulch. I've been shopping here for over 20 years and they never disappoint!”

“Only reason why I give Home Depot 4/5 Stars is due to their unwillingness (on a corporate level) to accept NFC Payments (Apple Pay, etc.).
For the record… at this point, ALL three of Home Depot’s direct big-box competitors; Lowe’s, Menards, and Ace Hardware; accept Apple Pay. HD is one of the few-remaining retail companies who continue to take this stubborn stance.
I know this is a corporate issue, but it’s still a bit ridiculous that there are places where I can’t pay with my digital wallet in 2024.
Otherwise, great selection, clean store, and friendly service. The usual to be expected at HD. ?”

“I recently moved to Lake Villa and needed a new feed store near me. Personally, I don't like chain pet stores and prefer to buy from smaller business for my animals. This one is fantastic! Friendly staff, GREAT prices, and has everything from farm animals to backyard wildlife and indoor pet supplies. Additionally, I'm big on single ingredient and responsibly sourced products for my dogs, and Grayslake Feed Sales has options in that realm too. I already recommend this business to everyone!”
