When my Mini Cooper’s check engine light came on, the nearby Midas quoted me an outrageous $2000+ repair bill, which really scared me ? I came to Master Pro Auto Repair on a recommendation, and wow, the experience was night and day.
Victor, the front desk, was incredibly helpful right away. He reviewed my prior diagnostic report, quickly confirmed the issue was just spark plugs, ordered the parts immediately, and got me in for service the same day. Both Victor and Oscar worked together on my car, and it was fixed in under two hours—no hidden fees, no upselling, just honest work.
In the end, my car runs great, and I only paid $180 total. This place is hands down the most honest and trustworthy shop in Grayslake. If you’re tired of being overcharged by chain shops, this is the place to go!！??❤️”

“Sadly, we were misinformed about the name change to Car Fix and went to another shop. Desperation sent us looking for another mechanic. Took a chance coming back here, only to find out the greatest ppl from CarX were still here! We had been going to this shop well over 15 years. Loved the ppl and they were always amazing to us and for our cars. It felt like coming back to one of the greatest places. This time we came for an oil change since the last place we went to caused both of our cars to leak oil and at about $100 each car. Car Fix? Under $60! How great is that?! I'm so glad we're back! “I came in needing new tires and unexpectedly also had a damaged rim. The manager and mechanics all went above and beyond to find a replacement rim the same day so I could make it home out of town. In spite of how much of a pain it was to track down and retrieve the part, they also charged a very reasonable price for everything. The manager was also very nice while I was stuck in the shop for so long.”
