“After years of seeing the Mulch Center's advertisements, my wife and I decided to give them a visit. We had substantial work that needed to be done requiring about 40 yd³ of mulch. We went to the Volo location and were somewhat overwhelmed by the many different types of mulch that were available. Then we met Jim, one of the operations managers, who was thorough, competent, friendly and very helpful. After explaining the various types of mulch, what they were good for, and the cost, we were pretty sure that we wanted to deal with the Mulch Center. One important factor remained, good labor to get this major project done. Without much expectation of success, we asked Jim if he had anyone who might be knowledgeable and assist us in determining what we actually needed and how to get it done. Jim then recommended Guy Seno, a long time expert in the landscaping business. Guy is absolutely exceptional. His knowledge, communication skills, organization, efficiency, and friendliness are off the charts. Guy truly practiced the Golden Rule in how he dealt with us. We could not have asked for better treatment and performance. We would be happy to work with the Mulch Center again and would enthusiastically retain Guy to assist us.”

“I had a phenomenal experience shopping here. Tom in millwork was incredibly helpful, detail oriented, and personable. I really enjoyed having him support me.Kelcy was also extremely helpful, as Tom wasn't as familiar with the new ordering system. Kelcy, seeing an opportunity to help, sensed I was in a rush and aided me in completing the transaction and taught Tom along the way. I'm not sure if Kelcy is a manager or not, but he sure seemed like he had the chops to be one. Unbelievably efficient and charismatic.”
“I'll be honest, this place used to drive me crazy. There was never enough help and I would wander around the store frustrated. The last year however the people that work there have been amazing and I am really impressed with this place! Brandon and Paul are awesome and Bianca was cool too. There's also a guy with a white beard who's nice...oh and someone who cut some wood for me one time. All around great, thanks guys!”

“Tom at the Lake Zurich Rental center really helped me out. I was planning on renting a sewer rodding machine because my shower was backing up. After listening to my issue tom suggested the issue was in my septic field. Turns out I took the cover off and the tank was totally full. Tom chose to help me solve my problem over the phone instead of just trying to rent me a piece of equipment. I will think of this rental department whenever I need another tool to rent. Thanks again TOM!”
“AUSTIN?? This review is long overdue??♂️ So to my man's Austin I apologize in advance but I do sincerely hope that you have moved on to higher and new positions. Austin was top tier. You have people who work there and people who just come to work. Well, Austin was the CEO of his own company with the innate qualities of a leader, a can do attitude, and the ability and willingness to do. I had literally watched and heard him assisting another customer. Call it weird but I mean he was handling his. business. He approached the guy in a caring but bold manner, with a confident voice and tone assuring in so many words, that he'd most certainly be able to help him. And help him he did. Had the guy out of there in no time!Well I had went to the next aisle over and was thinking to myself, "shheeesh this kid has potential to definitely be someone great. I wonder what his life is like, how he's become who he is, what exactly did he go through, and if he's put any thought into his future." Legit thoughts, and then out of the blue I hear his voice saying, "Hey do you need any help today?" Whatttt!?!? Let's be real, the average employee would've went off elsewhere to relax having filled their quota. My mans literally was looking for people to help! That's call top tier customer service. And help me he did, I was done within minutes after he helped me.HomeDepot needs more Austin's for real. That's why I'm apologizing for the lateness of this review. My visit there was in August of 2023, the weekend of the 12th. So if he's still there, a manager or HomeDepot yourself, somebody please do right by him.”

“there was a lot of new items and I really like the plant section as I am I have a gardener however, I did notice that there wasn't a lot of selection when it came to stones and towels that I could use in my garden and this was kind of disappointing, especially due to the high rates of drought that are known to be occurring in our area sometimes during the summer but nonetheless, I was very happy with the plant selection and the selection of sand available in this establishment store”
