2111 N Park Ave, Herrin“Store often kind of a mess and understocked but they seem understaffed as well. Not as nice as one on north end of town but still fairly cheap and quick in and out.”
“They have lots of nice things random but new items that change as they sell. So you have to check back to see what's new. Name brands and household products. Check to see the expiration dates on some foods. Most are in date. Lots of rugs and flooring I like Ollie's a lot.”
“Dollar tree was good because their air conditioning was blasting and on a 95degree day you gotta love them. We were in Marion just to get out a bit we went in a Thai restaurant a few doors down STAY AWAY no air, how could you enjoy anything with sweat dripping off your face.”
“I'm akeays surprised to see things the have there. Got my dogs some Rachel Ray nutrish dog food for $6 and pedigree wet food puches for $3.50 I know why their stock is running $230+ a share.”

314 Plaza Dr, Carterville“I live across the street so I been going here for seven consistent years, daily. Ya know, nobody survives here longer than 6 months but every single person in that place is extremely friendly, underpaid, and overworked. This place would have a loyal staff if they paid people what they are worth, and that is clear. That’s a corporate problem. But anytime you come here, know somebody’s gonna greet you with a smile. Just know it’s prolly someone new. ??”

110 W Linden St, Zeigler“Any time I go to any Dollar General store, I simply Love them all I always find something New in store! Great place for absolutely great bargains! Whatever you need!!!”
“Just like any other dollar general only thing that changes are the faces and the attitudes. Couldn't find an empty cart, the employees had stuff in them so I had to use a basket which limited my buying.”
“They have great, affordable product. The flow the cashier had let the customers get done quickly. My whole trip was about 5 minutes and only 2 of them were waiting in line.”
“It was very crowded with carts from employees stocking shelves. But there was plenty of things on the shelves. We went in for tables clothes & came out with everything but them.”

921 S Maple St, Carterville“Staff is always extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. Very personable. The staff seems like they actually enjoy their job, not like they are only there because they have to be. Any time my wife or I has asked where something is, or if they have something, they take the time to actually walk to where the item should be, where it could be, and help find it themselves rather than just pointing in a direction and going on about their business. I have been in multiple Dollar General stores, and a majority of the employees are on their phones, or playing obnoxiously loud music from their phones and could care less if a customer needs or asks for help. Not the crew in the Cambria store! They are on top of things and keep the store very tidy and clean. I will go out of my way to go to the Cambria location over three or four other stores local or semi-local to me.”
“My rating is for a young employee named Courtney, not the store. The store is a mess and out of everything. But Courtney is a beast! She was the only one working and had a line, her register quit working. She did not miss a beat. She ran to another register and started again. She was fast, efficient, polite and she was answering the store phone. That's how I know her name. She ran out of bags and grabbed more. Another employee did come up, but didn't help her. Instead she walked into the office and was hopefully calling for help. She was on a phone. Courtney needs a better employer.”
“I really like the staff. I’m always going in there in the afternoon and those guys are cool and friendly, helpful as well. They had something I was looking for , I couldn’t find. Was so excited! The staff alone is worth the stop!”
“Good store and wonderful reputation for a thrift store. I’ll buy things from here every once in a while. I don’t care what people say about your pricing being unreasonable.”
“Better stocked and cleaner than the Dollar General in south side of town. A bit too small but no big deal. Some of the workers not so friendly but then other ones are.”
