The feeling one gets shopping here is that anything can be asked, and doing business is like becoming a friend, then family.The negative review dismissed the customer service of this business, I can't imagine the owner and staff be being singularly helpful. “Went in to see about placing an order for a necklace with a custom coin pendant. Irv was super friendly and communicative throughout the consultation. I'd had a specific chain in mind, but based on my interest in something dainty yet sturdy, he recommended a different chain that would suit me better. Two weeks later the necklace was ready, just like he said it would, and it's beautiful--the coin pendant was high-quality and had all the details I'd requested, and the chain he recommended was perfect. When I found the bail wouldn't allow the pendant to slip off (I wanted the option to put the pendant on another chain), I went back and Irv made quick work of adjusting the bail at no extra charge. Very pleased with the service I received.”

“I have been shopping here since the late '80s. Some of my favourite earrings were purchased here. This is also a great source for hostess and wedding gifts. They specialize in artisan pieces for your personal use or for gifts -- glass, wood, pottery, etc. Today I picked up a gorgeous bar of Finchberry soap. Yes, I know I can buy this product online, but Citywoods has a huge selection and the Finchberry colours/designs/fragrances have to be experienced in person. I ended up purchasing shades-of-purple "Grapes of Bath," (he, he) but I think I'll be back for Moxie and Main Squeeze. plenty of street parking; helpful staff; lovely items”

They do parties as well. Plenty of free street parking in highland park, just about 1-2 blocks east of the Metra tracks.”
