“Fantastic selection on African American and African history, biographies, children's literature, comic books with Black/Latino characters, selections of hair and skin care like shea butters, aprons, artwork by Black artists, teachers resources too.”
“I enjoy Barnes & Noble but I swear it is so difficult to find books in the children’s section at times because it doesn’t seem to follow much of a system for organization beyond a few categories.”

1045 Lake St, Oak Park“This is one of the best bookstores I've ever been to, and I'm a native Angeleno who has also lived in the Bay Area. If for some reason, they don't carry what you're looking for, they will always order it for you. As a poet, it' really refreshing to see that they have an extensive poetry section that carries lots of smaller and indie presses in addition to the big publishing houses. A great kids section, a fabulous selection of art books and calendars, and a great place to get Moleskine notebooks and other journals. They also have a wonderful selection of magazines.”
“Anderson's is a community treasure - a place where you can quietly peruse the ever evolving selection of books, talk to the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff, and pick up greeting cards and gifts along the way. There's nowhere I'd rather spend an hour, especially on a crisp, rainy day.”
“First time ever walking into the store the ladies where very friendly and nice never thought they would have the old school kind of note books for the kids really happy they had them here. Will be coming back with my son”

“This is the sweetest bookshop! My kids love stopping in when we are downtown. They have a great selection. They also host a bunch of events, story times, art classes, and birthday parties. Cannot say enough good things about this place!”
“A large variety of current and past books by old and new authors. Also CDs and small gifts and keepsake items for giving excellent customer service. Along with the delicious sit down and relax area and even further in the back there is an area to read on beautiful leather sofas. Well done, and thoughtfully designed .”

730 Lake St, Oak Park“The most wonderful toy store!!!! I didn't know such a store existed! You will find toys/games etc that will NOT be found in any major retail Store! Great prices and super nice stats ready to help when needed! I have 4 grandkids (ages range from 4 to 10) and as long they are kids I will never shop for toys anywhere else! A jewel of a find in Oak Park, Illinois!”
“I forgot about this little hidden gem in four corners. It's been some time since I've been here but it's exactly how I remembered it. They have a large selection of children's books and fiction. They're organized by author and they have some new books in their selection. You also have the option to order a newer book at a discount (if I remember correctly). They will also accept book donations so don't let those books go to waste! If you've never been, definitely try and check this out. I stocked up on my most recent visit with some good stuff!”

“Such a delightful little store. My son and I were out on a wander and decided to pop in, and I'm so glad we did! They have a fantastic selection of children's books from some of our favorite authors and illustrators. It was so refreshing to see such a well-curated collection. We especially appreciated the beautiful secular holiday and winter books during the visit!”
“I LOVE finding treasures in the impressive variety at Half-Rice Books. One of my two favorite stores to browse. Thanks to all those that pass on their used books to HPB, allowing others to enjoy them as well ?”
“Great place for Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, and Magic trading cards, action figures, anime posters, comics, and video games. Plus, there are weekly in-store events. Parking is very limited at this location though.”
“Customer service was really great. Priced like a regular book store, not used. If you are looking to get affordable books, I would recommend going else where. Though, employee was very friendly which made up for my disappointment”

“Excellent university! I'm proud to have finished a degree there. The class room sizes are small and the staff and teachers were very helpful. Just a good Christian school.”
“When my son Joshua was receiving his first Holy Communion I needed to get a very special rosary beads for him and a prayer book . I ordered eveything over the phone with Sue and she was absolutely amazing and helped me pick the perfect items. In addition she also included in my order, completely free of charge, the most beautiful little wooden box/chest medal and rosary holder with a bible inscription from the book of Joshua. Everything arrived safely and was packaged beautifully. Sue will go above and beyond the call of duty to get the exact item one describes and if she does not have it in stock she will order it for you immediately. This is definitely the place to visit when you need that most unusual item. Quite frankly if I could give a 6 Star review I would do so with pleasure!!!”
“MVCC Bookstore has great deals on school book rentals, and other student school supplies. They also have nice variety of clothing options for students and staff. Service is great the workers at MVCC Bookstore are wonderful. They also have sidewalk sales and often have very unique and original gifts for yourself or others.”

2000 5th Ave, River Grove“4 stat because they aren't actually a part of the school. You have to show them your schedule in order to return rented books. Better to rent than buy though, so 4 stars. I also miss the corner bookstore that used to be on 5th before you turn into the school, but it is no longer there. Rent your books here though, or buy used. $$$. Better off getting your books though Amazon earlier if you can. Staff is still very helpful in getting your materials.”
“Convenient. Got books you need for class, stationary supplies, book bags, school swag, and candy. Everything slightly more expensive but when you need those gloves for lab it's worth it.Order ahead for stressless pickup.”
“Oh goodness - walking into this place is like walking into a whole different world. Opening the door to this place is akin to pressing pause on the hustle and bustle of life, and ascending into another dimension for an avid suspense reader. The smell of books, the beautiful polished book cases, and the ambience are all worth a visit, if not several visits. The service and hospitality are unsurpassable - the couple running the place are the sweetest and most wonderful people, ever. And there is SO much knowledge of suspense novels coming from these two that it blows your mind. The books are priced reasonably and buying here is a lot of bang for your buck. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fort all book lovers, but especially SUSPENSE and MYSTERY readers!”
