Yes this place supports a charity, but they also aren't trying to gauge me for a used item with no return policy. I wish people would stop paying higher prices to other places that are charity driven. Because this model works. They get plenty of donations, they are constantly busy, I always spend a lot of money there. Also Kevin fixes watch batteries! It's perfect.”

“My husband and I walked into this business and were surprised to find furniture in excellent condition and the floor layout was very nice and clean. We went in to inquire about the process of how to consign with this particular store and Tom immediately assisted us with no problems whatsoever. His customer service was excellent and he was willing to assist us with all of our questions and concerns. He made the process a very easy one. I am so glad we stopped by today. “I've been on the hunt for a certain size lamp and stumbled on Treasure House. What a GEM! Everyone that works here is a volunteer and all donations are priced very very (very) reasonably. All proceeds go towards an organization that provides mental health to people in the community. Aside from all the GOOD stuff about the who/how, the actual donated merchandise is also SO GOOD! The art! The clothes! The glassware! The jewelry! The collectibles! Everything is curated nicely and clearly priced. Prices are to move - they even have a little area with baskets where you can put your things "on hold" while you go try things on. The music was also fun. I was humming along to all the songs! Parking is very easy right out front now that all that messy construction is gone! What a literal treasure to find this place!”
“Fun place to spend some time walking around hunting for unique items. You don’t come here looking for something, the store tells you what you need! Found an awesome solid oak coat rack with an old “Property of Cook County” tag on it, and a cool newspaper clipping from the old Rock Island Railway. Deb knew exactly where this piece was hanging up and the story behind it, makes it that much cooler. Would love to see some of the slower moving (kitchen/commercial/restaurant) items cleared out and the boxed items displayed or made more visible. I’m sure there’s some real treasures hiding in this place.”
“Pretty dresses ... helpful staff ... they even have a seamstress BUT make sure what u buy is what u want because they have a NO RETURN, NO EXCHANGE.... NO NOTHING POLICY ... and they only hold something for you FOR ONE HOUR”
“Store is ok. Slightly better than other Goodwills. Not as large as you’d think on the inside. Prices are pretty standard being that it is Goodwill. They were consistently bringing new products out to the floor though which is nice. Bring your own bag, though!”
“5 stars. The poor reviews and experiences are very shocking to read because I've only had pleasant experiences with this shop and its owner over the years. I began shopping & consigning here over ten years ago. I found the experience to be convenient and extremely helpful. Catrina has great style and can find pieces that will complement your shape and aesthetic. Some of my favorite pieces were amazing finds from this shop. My fur was a GREAT deal! Several purses and accessories. Dresses and special occasion wear, too. I will say that she is very selective when selecting piece to consign and I appreciate that. I prefer to shop high quality items versus a high quantity of items. I appreciate that she will try and sell items on eBay as well as in the store to increase the odds of sale. She's always been great about supporting community efforts and has a philanthropic spirit around certain causes. If you didn't have a pleasant encounter with this store, I encourage you to return and share what wasn't to your liking. An honest conversation and an open heart can make a huge difference. I will continue to support this local shop whenever I can.”
“For those of you that complain about their policy regarding them not immediately being able to price an item. This is typical. This is a thrift store. Service isn't going to be amazing. Their policy is the same everywhere "if there is no tag then it needs to be properly priced and you can return the next day in the morning to ask for the item and get it then. I did this before and they were accommodating at another location. Although it is inconvenient to have to come back simply for this reason. It's understandable since they need to determine the price a certain way to get some kind of profit and so forth. I don't believe every employee is trained to be able to determine the price of all or any items. These locations are always short staffed so keep that in mind as well. If you want something better in that sense go to a Bloomingdales or a Nordstrom. Not that you can afford it in this economy ?as they say be grateful for what you have”
“I love this shop. Always a great selection with gems to find. The employees are lovely and you can tell they love fashion and are fun to shop with. Really reasonable prices and a good range of casual items and really glamorous items. It’s great to bring in things that I’m not wearing and build up credits toward new things to enjoy. Also love to donate through them to a great cause.”

“Alert to treasure Hunters of vintage toys and other easy to see vintage items. The Salvation Army has people that spot these things that work in there and anything that is for example like a older vintage Star Wars Transformers GI Joe they will put it off to their website and sell it online where there is bidding that takes place. So good luck you will not find for the chance to be finding something very popular and old is very slim. Other than that I think this place is really nice for finding your average deals and finding some cool clothes at a good price or other items such as electronics.”

“This review is in response to "Cynthia Dukes" review.......I have had the luxury of being associated with the owner, staff, and the overall "vibe" of Kelsey Resale for for the last year and a half. I have never been exposed to such a positive group of people and place of business in my 57 years of being on this planet. I have personally got to know everyone that works there and every single individual I have met has made me a better person. The way that they conduct themselves should be the model for every small business. Please keep in mind that I come from a completely different professional background, which is why I have been so impressed.Here is where it gets dicey, Cynthia Duke has personally attacked the "Owner" which also happens to be my Wife. My Wife, the "Owner" is a lot of things, none of which even come close to what Cynthia is describing. She is the best human being on this planet that I have ever met. She is sweet, caring, selfless, humble, and possibly the most compassionate woman ever. I also think that she is the most beautiful person ever! BUT, she also has a business to run, sometimes the inventory items that she has to take in for consignment may be of significant value to the consigner, but not necessarily be of value to Kelsey Resale, which is why I feel Cynthia is attacking my Wife. It is just the business model that has made Kelsey Resale successful. There is no need for anyone to take it personally.You can attack the business model, attack me, but to attack my Wife is way out of bounds Cynthia!”
