“My husband went to the bank today because of a fraudulent charge on his card, was told to sit and wait he would be helped. Other patrons walked in with same issue and were taken immediately, as he waited and was never taken care of…… he left! Not so good at customer service! Update: we received a very peasant call today from the supervisor of the bank, totally apologetic for the incident. That is very good customer service to have someone respond to a negative issue so quickly to make it right! Thank you!”

“This is mostly a star rating of the staff at Republic Bank's Berkeley branch...My business has banked here since it was National Bank of Commerce (NBC). The staff was friendly and helpful then, and they are still today. They're just good friendly people doing their best to help bank customers as much and as well as they can, and usually doing so with a cheerful smile and caring demeanor.As far as Republic Bank itself, since they took it over from NBC I have not found them to be a very supportive small business bank ...we now use Itasca Bank when we need help with our small business financing. Itasca actually seems to care about our business circumstances and seems to genuinely want to help when we need them to.”
