Purchased kitchen floor tile from Elliott at The Tile Shop after my kitchen floor was destroyed by a water issue. During such a stressful time Elliott was extremely helpful and patient while I navigated the selection and all the way through the process...all over the holidays nonetheless. Renovating a home can be a very stressful ordeal but working with Elliot & Elliot at The Tile Shop made this part of the process so much easier. As if their product knowledge, recommendations, and helpful attitudes weren't enough, their flexibility in dealing with the many exchanges, returns, and changes to our plans made the entire process as enjoyable as picking out tile can be.
If you are considering starting a project in the near future, or if you are already neck deep into one, save yourself a lot of trouble and head straight to The Tile Shop in Hoffman Estates and ask to speak with one of the Elliots. I cannot recommend them enough.

Extremely poor communication and follow-up. I placed a small order at the Hoffman location — several boxes were missing, and some of the delivered ones were damaged. I was told to pick up the remaining boxes from the Lombard location, but when I got there, they weren’t available.
It’s frustrating that before placing the order, I received several calls and emails, but after the purchase, there was no proper support or service.

From the moment I walked into the store, I felt a genuine warm welcome from the entire team. Elliott, my sales representative, was extremely professional, patient, and knowledgeable. He took the time to show me different options, answered all my questions, and guided me through the process without any pressure to buy. The store manager was equally friendly and accommodating, making the experience even smoother.
What truly stood out was the convenience and professionalism after the initial visit. My next purchase was handled entirely over the phone with prompt, clear email confirmations detailing every step—product information, pricing, and delivery dates were all communicated perfectly.
On top of that, they were willing to work with me on pricing, ensuring I received the best value possible. It’s clear their top priority is customer satisfaction, and they go above and beyond to make sure you leave happy.

I went to The Tile Shop on Higgins Rd and received superb service on two projects from beginning to end. The store contained the exact subway tiles I needed, as well as the William Morris tiles that added a beautiful splash of color. Cliff guided me through the measurements and offered excellent design advice and Eliot was very helpful in providing a credit for the tiles I didn’t use. When I needed a couple extra pencil tiles they made every accommodation to get them to me immediately. My project exceeded my expectations thanks to these gentlemen!

Annabell is phenomenal! She is super knowledgeable, professional, and has an eye for detail. She put A LOT of time and effort into making sure I was informed and feeling comfortable with my design. I could not be any happier with the customer service she provided.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Virginia, who previously worked at the Tile Shop in Lombard before transferring to the Hoffman Estates location. From the moment I met her, it was clear she was a true expert in her field. She knows tile inside and out—whether it was advising on the perfect materials or helping me visualize how everything would come together, her knowledge was invaluable.
But what truly set Virginia apart was her wonderful personality. Her quirky one-liners always made the process so enjoyable, and she has a way of making even the most overwhelming decisions feel fun. She’s not only incredibly professional, but also an absolute joy to work with.
Even after her transfer, Virginia didn’t just disappear like some would have—it was clear that she genuinely cared about my project. She stayed in touch, offering advice, answering questions, and ensuring everything went smoothly from start to finish. Her dedication went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for all her help.
If you ever have the chance to work with Virginia, I highly recommend it—she’s the best in the business and The Tile Shop is lucky to have her.

Recently a client of mine purchased tile at the Lake Zurich Il store. They were told that it could be picked in the afternoon of Friday January 26 2024. I arrived to pick it up at about 2pm. I spoke to the gentleman (later I found out he was the store manager) at the desk and he said the truck had not arrived yet with the delivery, and that it would not be able to be picked up until Saturday morning at 10am. I explained to him that I scheduled my installer to start at 7am on Saturday because we were told that it could be picked up on Friday afternoon. He said that there was nothing that could be done because the warehouse person would be gone. I explained my situation again but he said there was nothing he could do. I called the salesperson at the Lake Zurich store to explain what was going on and asked him to intervein. After several more hours I was finally told I could pick it up. The store manager was obviously not happy because he had to do it himself. Between the time I arrived to the time I pulled away, it was less than 5 minutes. Yet he was willing to completely mess up my schedule because he did not want to help. Customer service?

Shelle was so helpful to get out unorganized thoughts in order. There's so much to look at here and visualize. It is challenging to put together a tile design perfect enough to make a purchase on a first visit.

My experience with this store and especially with their associate Tara Gonzales was exceptional! They have a huge selection of tiles to choose from. Tara carefully listened to me & what I was looking for. Her direction was VERY helpful! The whole experience was one of the best I have had at a retail store in a very long time!

Great selection, outstanding service! My husband and I worked with Tara over a period of several weeks on the tile selection for our bathroom project. We found her to be knowledgeable, extremely patient, and very helpful. We really appreciated Tara's extra effort and follow-up throughout our design process including tracking down different tile samples and ensuring that we received tile from the correct lots.
