I rented a 5x9 trailer. The pick up was a little slow just due to the system being finicky - trying the get picture of the front of the DL took a few attempts - but it was pretty straight forward getting the equipment otherwise so no big complaints. The system just needed some coffee haha. The drop off was super simple, just drove up to the return door, staff had me go to the same spot they attached the trailer around back, they detached the trailer, and I was on my way in 5 min. The equipment is in good condition, the staff is nice and efficient, can't complain.

Nick did a fantastic job helping us out get a 26’ truck that was snowed in and he helped us out get it ready to go! Nick deserves a raise, highly recommended.

I rented a cargo van from this location twice. The first time was quick and easy. I had the van for a couple of days, it was almost brand new, and was cleaned. I got my receipt immediately after returning the van.
The second time I rented a cargo van, I had it for 5 days. I returned it clean and fueled up. I drove a few miles UNDER the estimate I gave them. It took nearly a day to get my final receipt and they never adjusted the mileage. It's only a few dollars but come on.
When you bring back a vehicle to this location as well, you have to park, get out of the vehicle, and walk in to let them know that you're returning a vehicle so they can open up the gate for you which is a pain to do. I'd recommend just going to the smaller U-Haul location on Lake St or the big location down the road in Hoffman Estates.

The staff were amazing. Everything was prepared for us as scheduled and we moved our adult child to his new condo. Staff were friendly and very courteous. The store location was clean, well stocked with boxes, moving supplies and equipment - stuff I would not have thought of like gloves. Prices were fair and in all reality, a fraction of the cost if we hired a moving firm.

After hours return location is on the street. They want you to clean the truck after an exhausting move or you could get charged cleaning fees. Not that the truck was dirty but shouldn't cleaning the truck be a part of prepping it and inspecting it for the next renter? I was standing there and folding 2 dozen wrapping blankets after $1500 rental. I don't remember doing that last time. Maybe it's just me.

Make sure you ask them about fees. They will never mention them to you.
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I originally scheduled my return time for 9 PM, but an employee forced me to change it to 6 PM without mentioning anything about a late fee. Despite returning at 6:30 PM, I was charged a $20 late fee—this is ridiculous, especially considering that the original rental price was only $19.99.
To make matters worse, when I finished using the U-Boxes, I informed the staff that they were empty and I was done. Instead of providing proper instructions, the young guy at the counter, who was more interested in spinning on his chair than helping customers, simply said, "You're good to go." He failed to explain that I needed to close my reservation or I’d be charged for the next month. As a result, I ended up being billed for an additional month due to this lack of communication.
This experience has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. The customer service was severely lacking, and I would not recommend this service to others.
