“Aldi always has something interesting, especially around the holidays. Their prices are definitely better matched to my wallet than other chain stores, and much of the food is as good or better than other stores. The only products I have found that don't measure up are the pizza, pizza rolls, and bananas. Their sourdough bread is the best! The fresh produce is SO much better, and it doesn't have that musty mildewy odor that you find in so many other fresh produce. I also like the smaller space. It is a 1 mile venture, rather than the marathon you run at a big box stores. It is perfect for my budget, time, and needs.”
“Walmart can be impossible to complete with and wipes out many small rural downtowns but no one will beat out this store owner. He really goes the extra mile and will do whatever it takes. He'll survive and adapt and surpass the conglomerates in any area he goes into with excellence.”

They used to pull out that big pickle jar and let us pick which one we wanted. Then we would fill up those little paper bags with as many penny candies as we could. I will always support this hometown market.”
“The store is so cluttered it's hard to get up and down the Isle. Sometimes certain dollar general employees act like it's a crime if you ask for help finding something or reaching something high. Not all. Some are very friendly and helpful. Can't always find what I need. Sometimes I have to go to several different dollar general to find what I'm looking for.”

Unlike a lot of dollar generals, you can move freely around without carts every where. We'll worth the drive and a thousand times better than Walmart. The new manager John was very friendly and very helpful.”

“It's easy to take for granted but we have been blessed here in Hoffman over the years to have such an excellent grocery store. Recently had to transfer in ownership. It went flawlessly I suspect it was facilitated by the people, who continue to work there.”
