“The best therapy place ever. I'm so happy my son is there every Wednesday. The therapists here are very good. The results are amazing.
Thank you Ms. Ally & Ms. Whitney ❤️”
“Had my son's 9th birthday party here and it was amazing! The staff was so patient and helpful to the kids. Everyone had a great time and it was so easy to host! Highly reccomend!”
“The pantry helps families and individuals in our community who need a helping hand. It's possible because of our local stores, bakeries, bread companies, private donations, and businesses donating food, goods, and money. At some point in life everyone needs a helping hand. We are a community who takes care of each other. There are wonderful volunteers who come and help out. The local high schools also make community service a requirement. Teaching young people empa, compassion, and service to others is what make a society work.”
“Everyone here is very, very kind. I am beyond grateful . They never make you feel less than. They provide to the community with love in their hearts. Sometimes they have to deal with greedy people but they continue to do what they are doing. I am forever thankful for them for helping my family during hard tines. I also want to add they have the most beautiful gardens and they grow everything you can think of! They work super hard on their gardens and they even share their gorgeous flowers they have picked. It always made my day seeing their gardens and what they have freshly picked!♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️ i will say the number system is really bad. They changed it where someone comes out and gives numbers but they don't come out often. And you're expected to know who's in front of who but everyone is in there cars. It gives me great anxiety going to get my number from them and see other pepple also going and then us having to figure out who was next. A lot of people arent honest and take advantage of people that are soft spoken or that won't confront anyone. Or others that have come in after, go and get a volunteer to come out and they try getting a number before the people that are waiting paitently outside. So the person outside has to go quickly and be like actually i was here first. I personally cant do that and not everyone will do that so it's unfair and we get skipped. Ive seen people who got there after someone, get a number before the person that showed up first, many times. It has been this way for maybe a month or more and I was hoping by now they'd have a new system. It's basically first come first serve which is fine but people can get greedy. I am not sure anything to suggest to help this. Maybe appointments with time slots? I don't know but I really hope this isn't the permanent system.”
“I was not sure about joining a chamber and then I met Drew at The Edge Fitness. He told me about all the great things the Chamber had to offer. Anytime I have a question Drew is always there to answer it. He has made events fun and is always welcoming. I look forward to attending more events!”

“I was at fair Oaks for weeks where I received the best care and motivation.
I can not speak enough praise on the rehab unit and the CNA, S gave the best considerate care when dealing with me.”
“Horizons For The Blind is amazing! I found out about them through reading information about resources for blind persons, in a magazine produced for blind people. This article was written in the 90s', and I called Horizons for a Braille catalog, and was completely impressed. I was excited more and more as I kept reading every page of the catalog.
My access to Braille cookbooks was limited, and preparation directions for convenience foods, or cake mixes was nil. I could find no access to craft books at all, and thought that this was just part of the inconvenience lived by all blind persons.
Horizons changed all of this, in an inclusive, positive, and dedicated manner, and are to be commended for all of their hard work. I wish there were more hard-working companies who do this work, because they honestly care enough to be helpful, and believe in accessibility for all, and are not just doing so, only to force people to have to fight to be considered equal. I appreciate Horizons, and all other companies who take the time, dedication and effort to be inclusive, and do so with sincerity in mind.
Horizons, you're awesome. I give the highest rating. Keep up the great work and attitude.”
“My wife always is one of the first and will come back with some great food from bread, milk, cereal, pasta cupped fruits for our kids school lunches and snacks great place to get food”
“Fast unloading. Yes, they do have overnight parking. Only dock for Receiving in little car parking side as you see in map. South side of building 4 docks for shipping.”
“Have observed this shelter in various ways over the past few years & feel confident in recommending them. This place is clean, the cats/kittens in their care are obviously healthy & loved. I have heard them verify references & confirm vet records on potential adopters & find that refreshing as some shelters are too quick to hand over helpless animals in order to run up adoption numbers. They are selective & should be. These folks have stepped up to help in hoarding / abuse situations, have helped raise money to aid ill/injured animals brought to them & have devoted personal time to ensure each animal knows a loving touch while in their care & after. I encourage you to take time to select a furry family member here, then you will understand their devotion. Consider volunteering or fostering here. They can’t do it alone - it takes community support.”
“If you or a loved one are dealing with mental illness, I cannot suggest this free service more. They've been a great service for many years, and I cannot thank them enough.”
“Where do I start! FSA does an amazing job at working with all family's and helping them in their current need. The staff are all super supportive and do their job with excellence!”
“Very modern and up to date compared to some of the other metro Chicago YMCAs. Two huge pools, one for competition / laps, the other for family. Men, women's, and family locker rooms are available. Very nice lobby space, very open layout.”
“Joanna Ruiz always go above anyone else there. She gets answers & solves problems, something the director & other social workers during & post Covid, have not. All in all its an amazing suburban office for the LGBTQ communities, for those of us unable to go into the City Of Chicago University Hospitals any longer.”
“I donate fairly often and the staff taking donations, particularly the young man the last couple of afternoons, is terrific. He is thankful as his job requires but he is genuinely nice and presents himself quite well. A genuine, nice young man involved in his job not just occupying a shift for pay. Good job! Pleasant staff makes all the difference!! Wish you worked for me! The work world needs more like you. Too many people now want free money for …nothing. Be proud of this young man.”
