“Valley Animal Hospital is such a great place. I moved to this area 3 years ago and was recommended Valley by some friends who also took their animals there. The folks at Valley have taken such good care of my dog!
They have a huge, knowledgeable team of both vets and technicians. Depending on what kind of appointment you're having, they'll let you know you can just see a tech for it, so it can be both easier to get in and cheaper. Turnaround times on appointments are pretty quick, and the couple of times I've needed it, they've been able to squeeze me in for a same-day emergency appointment.
I truly believe the staff cares about me and my dog, and they always take wonderful care of her. Can't recommend this place highly enough!”
“My dogs paw got stuck in the floor vent on the 4th of July and he ripped/broke his toenail. I just lost my job and was so worried about cost. Sugar Grove Animal Hospital staff was amazing they took such good care of my boy and I was outta there for $80. That includes 2 medications and a nail trim for the other nails. So glad they’re our vet.❤️”

“Brought my mini golden doodle for an ear infection. They were so quick and kind! I had my two young kids with me and our dog and they assisted me in getting everyone in the room and were so patient with us. They got us in and out with everything we needed for our pup and his ear is on the mend. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog got extremely sick from a vaccine she received at another vet. We did not feel comfortable going back there. Our dog had not eaten or had water for two days and it was Sunday. We went to an emergency vet which did not help much either. On Monday morning she was bleeding quite a lot from her rear. We called Gateway and they were amazing. Our dog stayed the day and came home Monday night pretty close to normal. A day later you could not tell she had any problems. Gateway is the only place our dogs will ever go in the future.”

“This is the second holistic vet I've take my puppy to and this time I felt like it was a truly holistic experience. Previous place recommended things such as Simperica Trio and there were no detox options or recommendations post vaccine. Autumn Green provided a homeopathic detox, went into an explanation of why certain foods should be avoided, even suggested switching out the water bowl to a material like glass.My puppy was scratching intensely and is on a raw diet, but I had no idea that fish oil should be avoided, which is found in SmallBatch.Overall a fantastic experience.”

“Dr. Ammon has cared for my family’s dogs since 1997, when we moved to the area. And even now that I live 6 hours away, I still bring my dogs to him for anything beyond routine medical care provided by my local vet.
He is caring, compassionate, thoughtful; he always explains things clearly and thoroughly; he has referred us to specialists when the issue was out of his wheelhouse; and I have always appreciated his candor and honesty when difficulties came up.
My Malamute Sasha had many medical issues over the years, and I believe the excellent care she received at Animal House contributed to her long life (13 years). (Sasha saw many vets at Animal House over her lifetime and they were all fantastic, but she especially loved Dr. Ammon.)
The administrative staff and vet techs are very friendly, caring, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone there clearly cares deeply about animals.

Old fashioned respect for you and your pets, very good communication and follow through whenever you need anything. They have really gone above and beyond for my sweet boy, currently a cancer patient. Many calls to my home after hours by his vet, the practice owner, working tirelessly to make sure we had the best plan of action - and many hours of research and communication with other specialists on my pets behalf. You will feel like your dog or other pet is the only one they see. Amazing front desk staff as well , just really good people who care.”
“December 18, 2022. My birthday. Most veterinarians are still operating under Covid and pandemic regulations. And we’re not open on weekends. I rescue that my partner and I saved together was in the last part of her life. Suffering and suddenly becoming paralyzed and in a ton of pain I frantically called trying to find a veterinarian that would service my cat nobody was open. I called virtual veterinarian about 31 minutes after they closed to my surprise they picked up in a panic I quickly explained what was going on with my cat but it was my birthday and I did not know what to do and could not find anybody to help me. He had us bring her in immediately, despite having somewhere important to go he waited for us to come from Sycamore to Virgil to treat our cat. We gave her sedatives and painkillers and she had a peaceful 24 hours before we got her back the next day and he put her down with respect and dignity. It was very clear that day that they had something else going on that was very important but they took the time to care and the empathy to make my little baby peach feel better. That allowed us to have 24 hours more with our kitty. Free from pain and, One terrible birthday a little easier to bear. This vet is an older gentleman and he might struggle to keep things up to a standard that privileged people in the area might expect however he is a vet in the middle of nowhere quite literally in the country and he he rescues quite a few different animals and cares for them. He deeply cares for his career and what he does and that’s clear and how he treats his animals it might be a little bit rough around the edges. But the Care inside is worth going for.”
“Have been bringing my dogs here for 10 years. Dr. Cechner is professional and has a great way with dogs. She is a great diagnostician. As my dogs have now gotten older I'm also having doctor do chiropractic on them which is doing wonders. One of my dogs developed a slight droop on the right side of his face and lost his blink reflex in that eye. He is getting electro-acupuncture which has reversed the droop and had also brought back his blink reflex. The staff are wonderful with my dogs. Doctor and the staff are very caring. I will always bring my animals here.”

“Kendall Road Equine Hospital is a place I’d describe as liking and appreciating, but hoping to avoid if possible! Lol
I’m very blessed to have an equine hospital like Kendal Road Equine Hospital near my barn! Over the past several years I’ve used this hospital for my own horses as well as helped others with their horses during emergencies and trust their staff to be willing and honest with me about the care they give. I’ve seen different veterinarians and veterinary technicians over my visits and I appreciate the communication they have with me, which isn’t always the strongest point in a veterinary facility! In my experience they have been good at being forthcoming and helpful about anything they aren’t comfortable or not able to do at their facility and make suggestions accordingly.
In addition, I’ve also used Kendal Road Equine Hospital for other non emergencies. My horses and I have had good experiences with the staff and especially like the convenience of the facility!
The goal is always to avoid situations needing the vet but it’s great to have good ones like at Kendal Road Equine Hospital when you need it!”

“Our experience with Dr. Brooks and Dr. Tab was excellent. We had been going there for over 10 years and I can honestly say they extended the life of our dog Teddy under their care. They were always there for us when we needed help especially towards the end of our dog's 14 years when we had some urgent needs. Every appointment was thorough and we always felt comfortable. “I have to keep this short before I start bawling again but wanted to give a huge recommendation for this place as an ER because a few days ago my husband and I had that nightmare, the one every single person reading this dreads, when one of our beloved cats died very suddenly, as in one minute the cat who had not been sick at all was playing and fine and the next he'd frozen up into some kind of siezure and stopped breathing in a matter of seconds. Terrified and in shock I googled ER vet near me and thank God I got this place, calling them while running to the car with our cat. We lost him, yes, to an apparent heart attack, but the kindness and care and steadfast feeling this clinic gave us when we needed it most has won them our loyalty and I'm grateful to everyone on staff that night for taking care of us, and of Captain Larry.”

She unfortunately had to go on a trip during figuring out what was wrong with our well loved cat!
