1038 South La Grange Road UNIT 1, La GrangeI can’t say enough good things about this place! Lucy did an amazing job grooming my fur baby Archie — truly above and beyond. She even sent me videos throughout the entire process, which instantly made me feel comfortable and reassured.
This is honestly the first groomer I’ve ever been to that doesn’t use cages/kennels for the dogs, and instead has an open area where you can actually see what’s going on. As a pet parent, that transparency means everything. So many owners feel anxious leaving their babies due to the unknown, and this setup completely eliminates that fear.
You can tell they genuinely care about the dogs and their well-being. Dave runs a fantastic business, and the whole experience felt thoughtful, professional, and loving. Archie looked incredible and was happy and relaxed afterward — which says it all. Highly recommend to anyone who wants their pup treated with real care and respect.

They also serve us quickly as we were in a tight schedule and even after a little accident where they have to remake some of the plates ! The meatloaf was nice and the portion was huge !
Too bad they were missing a lot of the drinks.

My fiancé and I recently brought a friend who was visiting from out of town to Mak’s House, and it ended up being one of the highlights of their trip. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, lively, and exactly what you hope for in a great neighborhood spot.
The cheeseburgers were phenomenal. We ordered a few different varieties, and each one was cooked perfectly, loaded with flavor, and served on a fresh bun. It’s hard to pick a favorite because every burger had its own unique twist, but they were all absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food.
The cocktail menu and selection of beers was equally impressive. I ordered a handcrafted cocktail that was perfectly balanced and paired wonderfully with the meal. It’s refreshing to find a place that does both food and drinks so well.
Our out-of-town guest couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed everything, and my fiancé and I agreed that Mak’s House continues to be one of our favorite places in La Grange. Great food, excellent drinks, friendly service, and a fun atmosphere—what more could you ask for? This is our go to spot and the owner Kevin is awesome!!

The Original Pancake House
942 LaGrange Rd, La GrangeDefinitely one of the best breakfast places to go. Had a ham and cheddar omelette which I cleaned the plate of as well as delicious chocolate chip pancakes. Fluffy and easy enough that you could cut it with a fork. My mother also had the western omelette and cleaned her plate (which she never does lol). If you have someone you want to take out and have breakfast with I highly recommend this place.

Very friendly service. My wife and i ordered the blue cheese apple walnut salad and a veggies brick oven pizza. Large salad, very fresh and tasty. Great complement to the toasty thin pizza. Great combination. Totally enjoyed the dinner and would come back again.
