“I had a really wonderful experience at this chess store today! I came in not really expecting to purchase anything, but the woman working at the counter was very friendly, kind, and helpful. My younger brother plays chess and I thought it would be a good idea to get him a proper board for his birthday instead of how he’s been learning on his iPhone! The quality of their products are incredible. I will definitely come back in time for a nicer set of pieces & a new board for future celebrations. Elmhurst also hosts chess nights at a local cafe/bakery, which I think is really wonderful.”
“I just got an ATLAS 60 ft auto parts boxcar, a Walthers Two Bay Covered Hopper and a Scaletrains Havelock Shops BN Gondola. They all look great and they also gave me a tote bag and HO/N track Gauge. 5 STARS!”

“Great place for 0, S and HO Scale train options. They also have nice toy trucks and cars in their small but well curated selection of toys. My good to store to more classic toys. If you are looking for model paint they also have a nice assortment of classic Testors as well air brush paints.”

“Living a very busy life, I don't normally take time for reviews; however, I felt I needed to with my experience at this toy store. I was in search of ideas for giftgiving for a young child, having a "choo choo train"-based birthday party.A young lady, who I later found out was a manager, Bridget, was absolutely amazing. She had endless ideas that were so cool and really fun. I wished I had an endless budget so I could capitalize on all her awesome suggestions! Can't wait to see the little boy's big smiles when he gets his choo choo train gifts. AND....courtesy gift wrapping included!!Definitely my toy store for all the kids' parties and Christmas (hope Bridget is working on my return visits).”
“They always have the best stuff and stock great quality toys. Most of the toys are also very unique and geared towards learning. I went in on black friday and the owner suggested me some amazing toys! I was kind of wondering aimlessly around for a while not sure what to buy but he narrowed it down and helped find the right toys for each age that I needed. I can't wait to see the kids when I gift these!”
“My husband and i sort of wandered in (i didn't think it was open since you can't tell from the street) but we got buzzed in and WOW was it worth it, an amazing collection, some of which my husband recognized from his childhood with plenty of toys and models with all sorts of themes. GREAT stock of Horror stuff and a super friendly lady at the counter. We will absolutely be back, this place is a hidden gem and well worth the trip on a rainy Satuday afternoon.”

“Edith did such a great job with our sons first hair cut! I was so nervous cause he's my baby and it was the first hair cut. She made a very anxious mom so happy. She didn't cut off too much of his curls and did exactly what we asked as far as the actual shape up. We will definitely be returning!”
“Love this store! Such a great selection of toys- fun, STEM toys, but also has fun toys to just play with. They also have a large variety of Squishmallows and rotate seasonal ones and feature different cartoon characters. This is my go to for kids' birthday gifts. A huge bonus is the free gift wrapping- they do a wonderful job, too! We have been to both the Countryside location (much larger) and Clarendon Hills (we tend to go to this one more since welive closer to here).”

“this is a fun nice store to go into. sometimes if I want a big bag of candy I'll go in here. I know this store probably is targeted towards teenage people and maybe young adult people. but you know sometimes I do come in here and just walk around and look at stuff. and that's cool. you know it just is nice to walk around a nice store. see what they have in here and everything is $5 or less. and I think one time I bought these little 5 lb hand weights in here and each hand weight was $5 for the 5 lb hand weight. I still have those hand weights in there pretty nice to have. and then a few other times I've bought these little LED strip lights to wrap around my tv. and I think I bought other small things like a big giant bag of bite size candy bars and I'm sure I bought other things in here. you know that huge bag of m&Ms or that big bag of gummy bears and then you eat the whole bag in 3 days. but it's just a good little store to go to when you can't think of anything else to do.”

“I almost canceled my order because of some of these scary reviews. I'm not sure where they are coming from, but I received my item (Popular Play Things Mix or match vehicles) on time and as described. I called and spoke with a customer service representative and they are a small legitimate business. With all the scams out there, this is not one of them.”
