About Market Square
Market Square in Lake Forest is iconic and known as the first suburban mall in the United States planned for automobile access. The work of noted architect Howard Van Doren Shaw is on display in every detail. It is a bit of a local tourist attraction, rather pretty, especially with snow on the ground, and very nice during the summer when it peaks in visitors. The small square has a fountain, benches, nice stores, and coffee places. Shops are plentiful, including a candy store that makes amazing toffee and the Amidei Mercatino Produce Market with a European feel and classic charm. It is clean, peaceful, and beautiful, and it was a great venue for an outdoor concert.

Sweet downtown area with plenty of parking and beautiful architecture. Lots of great food choices.

The band I'm in, Livestream, played there and it was a great venue for an outdoor concert. Shops are plentiful and you'll enjoy the candy store that makes amazing toffee.
