They confirmed they can inspect hybrids which was helpful for me. “i needed to get basically a new (manual) transmission for my 2004 VW Passat. At the same time, the 2014 Kia Forte i gave my son blew out it's motor. Mark Decraene took care of everything for me, and both vehicles are running better than ever. It cost a pretty penny, but Mark made sure he got the highest quality parts for the least amount of dough. He kept me informed through the entire process, and his honesty and professionalism are remarkable in an industry that can easily take advantage of a car dumb-dumb like myself. Do yourself a favor and go to Decraens in Woodstock if you have engine trouble and want the job done right for a reasonable amount of paper. i couldn't recommend him more highly (well, maybe if he was a Sox fan instead of bleeding Cubbie blue)”

“New to the area and tried a different mechanic shop for some routine maintenance. This routine maintenance caused my transmission to act up and appeared it wasn’t done correctly. Brought it into Coyote, explained the situation and they explained the procedure and how it should be done. Their off the cuff knowledge made me feel comfortable that they would address the problem appropriately. They were able to squeeze me into their scheduled and in less than a day, truck was ready for me. JJ and Joe gave me a recommendations for next items to address and timelines on my truck. I found my new trusted auto repair shop and if you need one too, check out Coyote Auto Center.”
“Daniel is a dedicated mechanic, he will give good advice and will repair quickly, relatively cheaply compared to other workshops. He has already repaired 2 of my cars and I am satisfied. I recommend Daniel to everyone, he is always nice and smiling, you can trust him with your cars. He does not charge for replacing parts that are good, as other workshops do. I paid about $450 for replacing 2 tires and shock absorbers, and another workshop told me $1,200 because they proposed replacing several other parts.”
“I went to their open house 10/18/25, and everyone treated me like they already knew me. All of the employees are passionate about their work, and they even mounted my tires, welded my exhaust, and shined my tires for free. If you have a saab or a volvo, take it here. You will get a quality job and probably make some friends.”

He was able to diagnose it very quickly and the turnaround time was great. It’s very unfortunate that I needed to get the transmission rebuilt, but that being said I could not recommend Jason and Crystal Lake transmissions enough he did a great job and I’ll be coming back with all my vehicles to him Jason thank you!!”
