“I pulled in 15 min till close absolutely they greeted me with smiles and I was out in 12 minutes - Crystal lake location was courteous, fast and friendly. And they offered a $25 off coupon . Can't beat that!!! 5 stars!”
“SJM AutoWerks replaced my A/C compressor on my 2020 Volvo for a better price than the dealership. They were honest and fair priced and I will use them again in the future”
“I went to their open house 10/18/25, and everyone treated me like they already knew me. All of the employees are passionate about their work, and they even mounted my tires, welded my exhaust, and shined my tires for free. If you have a saab or a volvo, take it here. You will get a quality job and probably make some friends.”
“I brought in my Chevy equinox and had Mike check on my brakes and he did a great job. Thanks Mike. He did work on my Ford Taurus years ago. My Boss Jake told me about him.”
“Jason from Crystal Lake transmission is very professional and responsive to my questions and phone calls regarding my notorious 65RFE transmission. I brought the truck in. He was able to diagnose it very quickly and the turnaround time was great. It’s very unfortunate that I needed to get the transmission rebuilt, but that being said I could not recommend Jason and Crystal Lake transmissions enough he did a great job and I’ll be coming back with all my vehicles to him Jason thank you!!”
“Chris and the team at C.A.R.R.S. handled my wife’s tire issue quickly and efficiently, providing great value for the service. The appointment was right on schedule, and they made sure she was back on the road safely. We’ll continue to trust C.A.R.R.S. with all of our vehicles!”

“I have been a customer of Car-X in Crystal Lake now for almost 10 years. And what I love most about them, is they never treated me a type of way because I'm a female. And I appreciate that, because a lot of places do! Sadly. But this was my first ever wheel alignment on any car I have ever had so I don't have anything to compare to, but I will say I am satisfied with the alignment they did on my car and now my Bugg is driving beautiful. Thank you guys at Car-X it wasn't the first time getting something done with you guys and it won't be the last :)”
