17950 Burnham Ave, LansingDriving down Burnham I would often have the urge to go check out what was in the red barn since it looked so cool, the only thing that kept me from going was not having a dog yet. Fast forward I got a Rottie my fav breed and with all my other Rotties I fed them a certain healthier food, but in 2023 found out the food was now nearly impossible to find went to Teds and they turned out to be an authorized retailer of the food ?. So instantly they became a favorite pet store for me personally, not to mention they also have the best customer service in a time post pandemic when many businesses lack not only good customer service, but customer service period. It’s a smaller store, but they have an impressive variety of every category.Just to illustrate their customer service I later went to grab a big bag of dog food and they were out, but Andrew ( the guy that has in the past carried out my food to my vehicle ) advised me that they would be getting some food in the next day and that he could put my name on it to save it for me and then call me when it came in ( that alone goes above and beyond other businesses ) and sure enough he did exactly what he said and then the young lady that rung me up signed me up for their rewards account , while the other lady I didn’t get her name was advising me of when their deliveries are , so these guys truly understand the important aspects of running a business , they definitely get it. They have higher prices on some things and then some things are cheaper then the big box guys, but when you get service like that it’s best to support it by any means necessary so I will be a customer for life.

Feels very welcoming and the owner has always been flexible with me when I communicate me running late..I don’t say that to wish anyone abuses that(including myself) but it was nice to have someone be flexible to a long time recurring customer. My dogs love them too so we won’t stop coming back!

17916 Torrence Ave, LansingDr. Nava was excellent. She was able to identify an extremely rare issue with my cat. She was also humble and recommended a specialized facility where the surgery could be performed, rather than attempt it on-site due to its unusual unique nature! She placed care above profit.
And I am forever grateful. I will absolutely be returning for future care!

17940 Torrence Ave, LansingWent here for dinner after working nearby. Was looking for something “local” and not a chain. Was definitely happy with our visit.
Our food was excellent as well as the service. The atmosphere was great. It had a “Cracker Barrel” meets “Louisiana BBQ” vibe. One review thought it was dated, and I thought the dining area was nice, yet the bathrooms could use some updating. Not going to fault the place for that - the bathroom is still functional and was clean.
I had the smoked wings, green beans and mashed sweet potatoes, and my fiancé had chicken, mashed potatoes, and collard greens. We shared a key like pie for desserts and brought home a peach cobbler for later, since another diner recommended it.
Would definitely go back.
