Refinanced my vehicle through Credit Union 1 (from dealer financing) and the person handling the paperwork went on vacation and stated that someone else would be sending me forms to finish. I never received these forms and even reached out about it. I was met with they need these forms immediately "or they'd hate to repossess" my vehicle. Absolutely not! I refuse to be bullied over someone THERE who didn't do their job. Luckily I was able to just pay off the loan and be done with them. 0/10 recommend. Never did receive that paperwork ....

Went in today trying to cash a credit union one compay check.. first they couldn’t cash it because the check had cents.. I said it was fine keep it they said they couldn’t.. then they figured out how to cash my check but I needed to open an account.. something so easy and simple wasted 30 minutes of my lunch time there.. don’t get it it’s a credit union 1 check what’s so hard about cashing one of your own checks.. girls and there were amazing and customer service was good… stupid limbos to go thru just ti cash a check

My experience with Credit Union 1 was excellent. I know that the bank is an excellent organization. The reason I'm doing this survey is because of Carolyn. In my mind she is a very personable, caring and courteous professional. She takes on all questions and problems with an open mind and stays with it until solved completely.I think Credit Union 1 is very fortunate to have her as a qualified employee.Thanks,Tom Schmidt

I have been with the Credit Union for many years and always have received great service. The CU1 Team in Lombard is always very kind and greets me with a smile. I also like the updated look of the whole place from a 1983 vibe to all new modern look. Thank you CU1!

Wonderful Customer Service Experience!I wanted to take a moment to highlight the excellent customer service I received from Crystal at Credit Union 1. While my partner and I decided to opt for dealership financing for our auto loan, Crystal’s assistance and support throughout the process were commendable. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and patient in answering all our questions and guiding us through the available options. Even though we ended up not finalizing our loan with them, Crystal’s professionalism and genuine care left a positive impression. If the level of customer service we received from her is any indication of the company’s values, I have no doubt that we will consider them for our future financial needs. This credit union 1 branch is the cleanest, brightest, and most friendliest branch I’ve ever been to!!I was comfortable speaking with the staff. They were very knowledgeable of my request and I was in and out of there in very timely fashion.

I have been a member of Credit Union 1 for about 3 years. Some of their products and services are great, others not so great. Recently, they have offered to get your paychecks up to 2 days early if you have direct deposit. For the past few months, my DD has gone into my account on Thursdays (payday is Friday). Today is a different story. I called CU1 and was advised of the same song and dance. It was possibly my employer's fault that it's nice there. A LIE! I work for one of the biggest Health Care Facilities in the country and I have checked with them and the files are sent at the same time on Wednesday morning before Friday. CU1 is making me rethink my options about staying with them. I don't like LIARS!

My experience with my mortgage loan started at the Evergreen Park location with loan officer Paris and ended with Grace. Both provided great information about what to do and which steps to take throughout the whole experience. Warning !!! Don’t apply for this credit card with this credit union they will sue you and harass you for a payment and threaten jail time and my grandma received a court summons and I don’t live in that address and they kept harrasing her . I never use this credit card and it was stolen and they took my disputes rights Away . This is worst credit union in the world stay away!!!The corporate people are rude to . I’m on a limited income and disabled man for life

I called the branch directly several times and could not get through to anyone. I then called corporate office and they told me I needed to come in person to finish creating an account. I came in and waited for well over an hour to talk the only consultant working because the manager was out on “lunch” and they were under staffed. When the manager finally returned close to an hour and a half later she told the woman working the front desk she was “at Target killing time”. Unprofessional to say the least.

Got my first mortgage through Credit Union 1 with Kelly Contine. This was after my first lender fell through due to some HoA issues. I called Kelly out of the blue (no scheduled appointments). She assured me that CU1 could handle it and gave me steps and next steps. Over the next week, she confirmed that my lenders previous issue wouldn't be a problem with them and even got me a much lower rate. There was good communication cadence and if she was not available, she'd call me back. During the next week, I chatted with Kelly, her team, my agent for what I think is a typical loan process. ~20 days since i reached out, my loan was approved! Kelly continued to answer questions or direct me to the right place as I prepped to close (was done on 4/14). Super easy, friendly, and fast!
